I have heard of the T.V. show "Gilmore Girls" but never took the time to watch it. Until recently. I can gladly (and unashamedly) say I have finished the series in a short amount of time, because I simply loved the show.
But once I finished, I was immediately devastated because the ending could have been so much better! I decided to search "Gilmore Girls" in the Netflix bar. I have no idea why, considering I finished it. But I came to find out exciting news! If you do not know what "Gilmore Girls" is about, I will attempt to give you a summary and from there you can decide to watch it!
I am going to start out with a little information about the main characters.
Lorelai Gilmore was a teen mom.She was raised in a rich home where her parents were not OK with the teen pregnancy and tried to control her life, so as a teen Lorelai moved to Stars Hollow. She gave birth to a girl and named her Lorelai as well, but she is known as Rory.
Rory turns out to be a very smart and intelligent girl who only strives for the best. Lorelai raised Rory away from her parents, but finally builds a relationship with them.
Rory's dad is Christopher. Christopher was willing to marry Lorelai at the young age and be a part of Rory's life, but Lorelai did not want to marry young. Not marrying Christopher led to Christopher not having a major in Rory's life. Later o,n when Rory is a teen, Christopher pops in and out throughout the episodes when he turns into being a drama character.
There is also Luke, Sookie, Jackson, Dean, Max, Paris, Lane, Jess and Logan that are all big characters in the TV series that adds drama!
I am sure my short little summary did not make the TV series appealing, but I really suggest you watch the show! It is so hard writing a summary after watching seven seasons and trying not to give away really big details and spoil it for you! Google a summary if you need to, or just watch the first episode and see if you like it or not. If you do like the first episode you need to finish the series fast because of the exciting news!
For those of you that have watched this series you know that it ends OK. You know that there are a million of different ways that would make it end so well! I didn't believe that I was truly watching the last episode because it did not seem like the end of the show. I felt like there needed to be one or two more episodes to really set the TV series off with a great goodbye. I do have good news for you if you do not know yet!
"Gilmore Girls: A Year In The Life" is coming out November 25! It is picking up from season seven and starting out at season eight! The first episode is called "Winter" and the next is called "Spring." (The episode names are creative.)
And most of the main characters are returning! The characters I have listed above are returning, except Lorelai's dad, Rory's grandpa, but that is sadly due to his death. If you watched the series you know that having the characters return is exciting.
Those of you that have watched "Gilmore Girls" when it came out, I can not imagine how excited you are considering you have waited nine years for a revival of Gilmore Girls. I somehow got lucky and only have to wait three months! Lastly, I advise you all to watch or re-watch the series and prepare to do nothing on November 25th!
P.S. I hope I broke the news to you because I am excited over this and I do realize that at the beginning of 2016 the news was released, but I had no clue until finishing the series as of this week!
