With the 2016 Rio Olympics being shown continuously and college move-in being right around the corner, I couldn't help but wonder...what Olympic sports would take place if the University of Dayton were to host the games?
1. Synchronized Napping
Automatic gold medal if you end up having the same dream!
2. Weight-gaining
How many pounds can you gain simply by switching to eating nothing but dining hall food? Includes an intense Monster Cookie-eating contest.
3. Artistic Procrastinating
It's out with the old ways and in with the new. How are you going to creatively procrastinate this year?
4. Stuart Hill Slalom
What better place to do some skiing than good old Stuart Hill?
5. GymNatstics
For those who choose to engage in drinking alcohol, specifically the infamous Natty Light, this one is for you. How many back handsprings will you be able to land when you're under the influence?
6. Skimming
Think of all the time you would save for yourself if you were a professional skimmer.
7. Netflix Cycling
The gold medal for this will go to the best binge-watcher.
8. Coffee Sprint
It's 2 a.m. You have a test tomorrow, and you haven't studied. You need coffee desperately. Which exhausted college student will make it to the coffee fastest?
9. Boxing (Up Your Stuff)
Only the most efficient and space-saving packers will steal the medals for this one.
10. Freestyle Skipping
Who will be the Ferris Bueller of skipping class?
11. Triathlon (Social Life, School Work, & Sleep)
Balancing homework, getting enough rest, and being able to hang out with friends is truly a sport in itself. The gold medal for this one will go to the most balanced student.
12. Free Food Relay
Similar to the Coffee Sprint.
13. Basketball
Some sports are just classics, and when you have as great a basketball team as the University of Dayton, basketball is definitely one of those.
