This is long over due, but by now you probably know that the Stanley Cup Champions are the Pittsburgh Penguins for the second consecutive year. Game 6 ended in the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee on June 11, 2017.

Penguins 2, Predators 0

Game 6 had me on the edge of my seat. I feel that if the goal that Nashville scored had not been taken away, things would have turned out much differently that night, but history has already been made and it is in the past now.

The Nashville Predators did an outstanding job in the playoffs and in the regular season and I hope in the future they come back stronger than ever and win the Stanley Cup. They had their ups and downs, but what team doesn't? The Predators did an exemplary job and I applaud them.

On the other hand, the Pittsburgh Penguins also played an outstanding regular season and in the playoffs. Being the first team since the Detroit Red Wings in '97 and '98 to win the cup back to back, is a great accomplishment. I applaud the team and their victory in winning the Stanley Cup.

Overall, both teams did an exemplary job in the finals of the playoffs and especially when it came down to business, they meant business. I think I speak for all of the people of the NHL that were watching the finals when I say that it was a heart racing six games and it was a privilege to watch both teams play and battle for the chance to be crowded Stanley Cup Champion.
