Going back to school can bring on mounds of stress, particularly if you are starting your first semester of freshman year at college like I am. The anxiety- free days of summer are exchanged for full days of classes and activities and sometimes it feels like there is not time to breathe. In order to be less worried all the time, take a breather and listen to these 14 feel songs that are guaranteed to lift your spirits!

1. "Knee Deep" by Zac Brown Band-- This amazing country tune will take you away from all of your preoccupations and transport you to a beautiful beach, where your only worry is that the “tide’s gonna reach” your chair.

2. "Skinny Love" by Birdy-- English singer Birdy’s soft, piano-driven cover of a classic is sure to diminish your anxieties with its soothing tone.

3. "Home" by Edward Sharpe and The Magnetic Zeroes-- From upbeat whistles in the first few seconds of this song, you can’t help but become happy. The simple, but powerful lyrics evoke memories of carefree childhood days where we were all a little less stressed than we are today.

4. "We Are The Champions" by Queen-- A classic rock anthem that will make you realize that you can overcome anything you are facing right now and prevail in the future.

5. "CAN'T STOP THE FEELING" by Justin Timberlake-- This song is guaranteed to make you feel good and lift your spirits no matter what issues you are facing.

6. "Cheap Thrills" by Sia and Sean Paul-- This upbeat song will make you want to dance to soothe your worries away. Even if you simply jiggle around while in your seat at work, this track is guaranteed to lift your spirits

7. "Happy" by Pharrell Williams-- An upbeat song about being happy no matter what comes your way is a good reminder that you shouldn’t be torn apart by your troubles. Turn up this jaunty tune and clap along to its fun beat to feel great even in the most stressful times.

8. "Best Day of My Life" by American Authors--This hit is an optimistic song about making the best of each new day. Blast this tune if you want to turn a bad day into the best day of of your li-i-i-i-i-ife!

9. "Don’t Be So Hard on Yourself" by Jess Glynne-- Jess Glynne’s upbeat track reminds you to not “be so hard on yourself” when things go wrong or don’t go your way. The next time you let yourself down this school year, play this song and realize that you don’t need to beat yourself up all the time.

10. "Summer" by Calvin Harris-- As the school year starts, it can be hard to adjust to the much more intense routine. If you want to escape from all the chaos you are facing this fall, this Calvin Harris mix will transport you back to carefree summer days.

11. "Good Life" by Kanye West-- While Kanye West is not the best person, he is a great rapper. This fun rap anthem makes you want to “throw your hands up in the sky” and dance. There is always good to find in the world around you, no matter how terrible your life feels right now.

12. "Daylight" by Matt and Kim-- Daylight is a simple song about how spontaneous, simple moments oftentimes foster the most happiness. Even when things (like all the craziness of college or high school or work) are stressing you out, life can be filled with happiness if you choose for it to be.

13. "Pumpin’ Blood" by NONONO-- From the first beat, good vibes are omnipresent in this piece of music. The song claims that “it’s your heart, it’s your life, it’s pumpin’ blood,” a reminder that we are in charge of exactly how we want to live our lives.

14. "Closer" by The Chainsmokers-- Probably the most popular song in this list, Closer is a catchy tune that reminds listeners about the power of love. When you are stressed, it is nice to be reminded of how beautiful something like young love presented in this song can be.

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
