Punter Temitayo Agoro recently participated as a wide receiver in the NFL Regional Combine. The Running Punter isn’t an average punter; punter Temitayo Agoro's speed and overall athletic ability place him in a different class. The multi-skilled player influences an extra offensive play on the 4th down play; allowing the possibility for a guaranteed positive play or even a score.
"There were more prospects than scouts at the NFL Regional Combine Saturday at the New Orleans Saints facility in Metairie. Many, many more. But that's sort of the idea. The regional combines, held at five satellite sites around the country, are a way to process dozens, or even hundreds, of prospects and make their resumes available to all 32 teams. All the data collected on Saturday and Sunday -- heights, weights and times -- go into a database for teams. If someone's numbers stand out, scouts can call up video from the combine with one click. The players can also use their new online profile to serve as a resume for NFL, Canadian, or arena teams. The very best 40-yard dash occasions on Saturday were for North Alabama running back Lamonte Thompson and Morehouse receiver Temitayo Agoro. They had 4.4-second marks, which could have been tenth-best of all participants in Indiana.” -by Evan Woodbery, NOLA.com | The Times-Picayune
The Running Punter showed impressive skill in the Combine testing Drills by having the furthest broad jump of 10 feet 9 inches (10”9”). His vertical was 35 inches, his short shuttle was 4.2, and he had an impressive 40 yard dash run of 4.40 seconds. His speed was not only the fastest at the combine, but he set a new record for the 40 yard dash time of any punter in history. He also destroyed the wide receiver drills, impressively catching "uncatchable" balls. Temitayo Agoro stated, “I really can do any position very well, The Lord has blessed us with many talents; I am grateful enough to workout with great NFL athletes at Chip Smith Performance Systems (A world renowned NFL training program in Norcross, Georgia) which pushes me to peaks that i still have not seen yet.” He has his Pro Day at Kennesaw State University March 17th, 2016 where he will prove his skill in punting.
At Chip Smith, Agoro recorded an outstanding number of 20 reps on the 225 lb bench press test. His overall strength is comparable to that of an NFL defensive Linebacker. Agoro recalls high School remembering the great athletes he played with: A’shawn Robinson of Alabama, Sammie Webb of Sam Houston State University, Nate Guidry of Kansas State, and Kameron Holmes of Texas State were all outstanding athletes that led Fort Worth Arlington Heights High School to the Third round of UIL State football in Texas. That was the furthest the school had ever gone. Temitayo played Linebacker in High School, and he received All-District and All-State awards.
As a Student-Athlete at Morehouse College, Temitayo Agoro Discovered his own Mycobacteriophage and named it Mycobacterium Gulsi. His Published Research at Morehouse College is an influence on his passion of Photojournalism. Temitayo Agoro’s Trademark Slogan of “Shoot with a Camera, Not with a Gun!” influences kids to take their passion of aiming, capturing and shooting a target into a new perspective. Instead of using guns, Agoro teaches kids to shoot the life into others with the powerful weapon of a Camera. Temitayo Recalls back to his elder Morehouse Brother, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and his notion of the social gospel and Photojournalism as a way to shape the world. "Let the world see what people are like in order for the world to change. Photojournalism was Key in Martin Luther King Jr’s leadership in the Civil Rights Movement, and it will again be a key to change the future of the world, building more peaceful Communities.”
Agoro’s pursuit of becoming a professional athlete will help give him a platform necessary to actualize change in the world. He believes that humans were made to love each other, but most importantly themselves. The Running Punter will Change the world.
