Ah, the sweet smell of tears and coffee. This can only mean one thing, it's finals week. You are stressed out to the max and completely convinced that there are not enough hours in the day to ace all your exams and to finish all your papers. However, you still will find yourself procrastinating in any way possible, like how you are wasting time on your phone reading this article! Sometimes it's hard finding new ways to procrastinate, so here are some ideas for you stressed out college students who need to give your coffee-addled brains a break.
1. Go to the gym.
If it were any other week you would make up 25,000 excuses not to go, but finals week's got you really desperate.
2. Take a glorious nap, you need it.
A nap has never been more enjoyable then when you have five exams to study for, papers to write, and a part-time job to go to.
3. Clean your room.
My room is an absolute mess at all times of the year except when I am stressed out and trying to avoid responsibilities. Thus finals week is the prime time to give your room a little spruce up!
4. Have a solo dance party to a rocking Pandora station.
5. Suddenly get the urge to Netflix binge your favorite show.
" Grey's Anatomy" marathon anyone?
6. Stress out about all the studying you have to do.
But then you end up being so stressed out about being stressed out about studying that you just don't study at all.
7. Eat. Everything. All the time.
You finally sit down and read your textbook for five minutes, and then you realize that your stomach is completely ravaged ... even though you just ate a snack about 10 minutes prior.
8. Scroll through every social media app you have on your phone.
Then as soon as you're finished, you refresh all the apps and begin again!
9. Calculate the lowest grade you can possibly make on your exams and still have an A in the class.
IT JUST GIVES ME PEACE OF MIND, OK?
10. Make a new record of pinning the largest amount of pins on Pinterest in an hour.
There are so many recipes and crafts I need to try. So many.
11. Finally going through all those junk emails that are invading your inbox.
You know what I'm talking about, I know you haven't checked your email in ages.
12. Tell yourself you need a change of scenery, and take your books out to a park to hammock.
Plot twist — you won't actually study anything, you just wanted to go sit in a hammock. Then reality sets in.
13. Waste time by making flashcards when you won't have enough time to actually study the flashcards.
I swear flashcards can save your test grade, but they take so long to make!
14. Getting yourself organized by spending several hours obsessing over all of your plans for the week and then creating a study schedule.
I don't know about you, but making a schedule gives me less anxiety. Until I realize how much time I lost studying by making that stupid schedule.
15. OK I have officially wasted enough time and need to go back to studying. Oh wait, I'm hungry again. Time for a snack!
Before you know it finals will be over, and you can finally do your happy dance.
