A couple of weeks ago I decided to take the drive to Star Hollows, and while I feel hopelessly in love with many of the characters and episodes, a few episodes will always be my favorites (not necessary in this order), up until Season Six, Episode 12, that is.

10. "The Prodigal Daughter Returns"

After a visit from Jess, Rory finally gets her act together and realizes that what Mitchum said shouldn't affect her choice of career and rejoins Yale. Lorelai tags along with Luke to see the soccer team he is sponsoring.

9. "A House Is Not a Home"

Rory gets in trouble; after an unexpected review, she decides to steal a boat. While Rory finally enters her rebelling stage. Lorelai finally lets her mother read her article in the magazine.

8. "Wedding Bell Blues"

Richard and Emily get remarried, but not all is right in the world, as Christopher shows up at their wedding and puts a wedge in Luke's and Lorelai's relationship. Rory finally decides to take a big step with her crush.

7. "You Jump, I Jump, Jack"

Lorelai's parents find out that she is dating Luke, so they decide to get to know him in their own way, all the while ignoring Lorelai's pleas. Rory finally gets an in on a breaking story, but it's not at all what she expects.

6. "Luke Can See Her Face"

Luke finally throws in the towel and decided to get help with his love life; after listening to the tapes, he realizes that he is totally in love with Lorelai. Rory tries to be uncaring when Lorelai tells her that Dean and his wife had a fight.

5. "In the Clamor and the Clangor"

Lane sneaks out of the house to go play a venue at a local hotspot, but upon her return, she and her mother have a long overdue talk. Rory is trying to navigate Yale when she learns that someone is spreading rumors about her.

4. "The Lorelais' First Day at Yale"

Rory moves into Yale, which turns into an all-day thing as Lorelai tries to outdo Rory's suitemate's parents. Once settled, Rory begins to feel homesick. Luke is stuck in Stars Hollow as his wife sends her partners to get him to sign the divorce papers.

3. "Application Anxiety"

Applications for college are starting to arrive, and Rory and her fellow classmates are in a frenzy to try and get theirs to shine. Lorelai helps Rory by setting her up with a Harvard alummi, which makes them both think.

2. "The Bracebridge Dinner"

After a blizzard forces the Inn to rethink their plans, Lorelai invites the whole town to a night of magic. Lorelai also invites her parents in the hope of making her father happy, only to discover that he quit his job.

1. "Pilot"

Rory is accepted into Chilton, causing Lorelai to turn toward her parents for help, which she doesn't want to do. Rory starts to get to know the new student at Star Hollows High.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
