There are a lot of careers that will last in history forever. The most significant ones are people like Michael Jordan, Tiger Woods and Jerry Rice. There are a lot more than the ones I just named, but there are some people that are underrated for their accomplishments. One of those people, and one of my favorite football players of all time, is Michael Vick.
Michael Vick's career was something very special for people to enjoy. No matter if he was injured or a second string quarterback for half of the football season, his ways of putting on a performance every Sunday on national TV was always spectacular in some way. The fans enjoyed his spirit and true meaning of playing football. Playing with the Atlanta Falcons for Vick was a very insightful opportunity. Fans from all over adored him and wanted Vick to succeed in any kind of way. It didn't matter if it was him on the Madden Cover for the video game, or going to the Super Bowl.
One thing in Michael Vick's career that people will never forget was his prison sentence for the "Bad Newz Kennels" dog investigation. America around the world was trying to understand the problems Michael Vick was facing because of the felony charges. Some people looked at him as an icon still, and some people had their bad opinions about him. Nevertheless, after Vick's release from prison, he went on to proceed with his football career with the Philadelphia Eagles. During that time, he was named the "NFL Comeback Player of the Year" in 2010, leading the Eagles to the playoffs as the NFC East champions. His success as an Eagle was something to go down in the books for the quarterback and Philadelphia Eagles history.
Things will never be the same for Vick as he is a 36 year old veteran and a free agent in 2016. His success as an individual is still proceeding on the right path. Vick's career is still not over, but is falling short at the same time. That reminds me of a quote by Michael Vick that sums up his success. The quote is "Why I pray so hard? Because just when I thought I had everything I lost it all....." That is something Michael Vick has put into his life forever as a football player and individual.
