A brand new NFL season starts next week, and there's already lots of excitement surrounding it. There are so many players from around the league that are poised to have remarkable (and sometimes historical) seasons, but have you ever considered picturing your favorite player as a building on LSU's campus? Well now you can! Here are a few players that perfectly fit the description of some popular LSU landmarks:
Parade Grounds: Rob Gronkowski
The Parade Grounds are always full of life and energy, and so is Rob Gronkowski. You could definitely picture Gronk chugging beers and spiking mini footballs at tailgates, and you could even see him doing an impromptu photoshoot while being surrounded by 500 kittens at the annual KATs and Dogs event. Now that would be legendary.
Art and Design Building: Von Miller
Not only is Von Miller a phenomenal football player, but he has an eccentric taste in fashion. I mean, he wore a fox hat, for crying out loud. Miller's style is mainly devoted to his strong Texan roots (He also played at Texas A&M), and he would blend in perfectly with the multi-colored wall inside the Art and Design Building. Even though Miller is devoted to his Aggies, it would have been nice picturing him as a LSU Tiger.
Bernie Moore Track Stadium: Odell Beckham Jr.
Beckham's mother, Heather Van Norman, was a six-time All-American track runner back at LSU, and she was even poised to make an Olympic debut. His father, Odell Beckham Sr., was a star LSU running back in the '90s. The younger Beckham himself even ran a 4.43 in the 2014 NFL Combine. It's safe to say that speed and freakish athleticism runs in the Beckham family.
Free Speech Alley: Drew Brees
Drew Brees is constantly seen doing volunteer work, and his hospitality has led him to win a Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year award. Can you picture Brees handing you a flier about the new church that he's going to at Free Speech Alley? I definitely can. If an NFL quarterback as legendary and respected as Brees invited me to visit his church (or pretty much any other place in general), then I would go in a heartbeat.
The UREC: J.J. Watt
J.J. Watt goes hard in the paint and dominates at pretty much anything, so watching him get swole at the UREC should come at no surprise. Just add the song "Turn Down For What" and a bunch of Papa John's pizzas, and the UREC would be more #lit than what it already is.
Middleton Library: Eli Manning
Just like Middleton Library during finals week, Eli Manning is as quiet as a mouse. But Middleton is also one of the most recognizable buildings on LSU's campus, just like Manning is one of the most recognizable faces in the NFL. There's a reason why Manning is a two-time Super Bowl champion. You can always count on him to come through during crunch time, and you can always count on Middleton Library to help you get that degree!
