Ever wanted to go on a date but tight on money? This fun list includes many awesome (and cheap) date ideas that you and your significant other can go on.

Benny Sorentino's

Benny's is located in downtown Harrisonburg, only about a 15-minute walk from the quad. They have huge pizzas that are tasty and only cost five dollars. You don't have to break the bank with this cute date night option.

The Arboretum

JMU's beautiful arboretum is located just behind East Campus, and it includes a beautiful pond with flowers that go in full bloom in the spring. The best part? It's completely free!

Grafton Theater

At Grafton Theater on campus, students can watch recently released movies for only five dollars! This is a great cheap option for a movie night without the typical expense of a regular movie theater. Popcorn is also only one dollar. Talk about a deal!

Purcell Park

Located near South Main Street, Purcell park features a baseball field, swing set, and tennis courts (to name a few). Spanning 67 acres, it's a great location for a leisurely afternoon stroll or picnic with your significant other.

Cat's Cradle

Located in downtown Harrisonburg, Cat's Cradle is a wonderful place where you can play with shelter cats. The cats are usually very playful and nice, and the people always welcoming. If you miss having cuddly time with your pet, Cat's Cradle is the place for you.

Bowling

Valley Lanes offers relatively cheap bowling, and it's a fun activity. Some nights they have Extreme Bowling, where the lanes get lit up with colorful lights.

Funky's Skating

For only around five to seven dollars, you can have a great time skating! Funky's offers inline skating or roller skates (for the less experienced). It's a really fun and chill atmosphere.

Kline's

If you've never been to Kline's, you're missing out. Kline's is located at downtown Harrisonburg and has delicious ice cream options. Want a cute ice cream Instragram picture? Kline's is the place to go.

Hiking

Up for hiking? Then you should go to the Shenandoah Valley hiking trail or Reddish Knob. Although slightly more expensive, it's a fun way to go outside and get fresh air.

Planetarium

The planetarium at Miller Hall offers free showings of the night sky, and it's a wonderful and fun experience.

Virginia Quilt Museum

For a mere five dollar fee, you can go to the Virginia Quilt Museum in Harrisonburg. It's a small, quaint museum with various quilts made during the 1800s. The service is lovely and it' s a great historical outing.

Bella Luna

Bella Luna is a favorite restaurant among students at JMU. They offer delicious pizza options and right across from them is Bella Luna ice cream, featuring delicious gelato.

The Artful Dodger

While Harrisonburg doesn't have many bars, the Artful Dodger is a fun and inviting bar for all people. Some nights they have salsa dancing or other various dancing. It's a great time.

As a college student, we typically have a limited budget. But that doesn't mean we can't go on dates. Harrisonburg and JMU offer many wonderful and affordable date options for couples, you just have to look around for them.

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
