What could be better than sitting at your favorite football team's game with your best friends? If you had an answer for this question, you may want to choose another team. But really, there isn't a lot of things that can compare. Even if you have to wake up super early to make the trek to some tailgates or the stadium, it's worth it in the end. These are some of the best moments of your life and you'll want to cherish them forever.

When you first wake up on game day, you start to get this nervous feeling inside of what might actually happen at the game that day. You put on the jersey and some stickers on your face so you can show your school's pride. Of course, you have to send a few pictures of yourself to your mom so that she can document how excited you were that day. Little do a lot of people know, this is just the beginning of a long but rewarding day.

Not only is football the best season because you get to see your favorite team play, but you get to spend more time with your friends. After you're all done getting ready, you end up texting your friends where they are going to tailgate before the game. Sometimes this can be a little tricky because your friends are usually all over campus or even off campus. Once you see each other though, there are countless amount of pictures that are needed for Instagram.

It's the best season because you get to hang out with a lot of your friends at tailgates and get to meet other people who are going to the game as well. This is the time of day where you start dancing and getting pumped up before you rush to the stadium to see the band bring in the football team. These are the memories you'll want to be reliving every day.

Whenever you're in the stadium, there is this feeling of being at home. This may be because most of the people surrounding you share the love for your favorite team. For those who don't support the same team, they share the love of watching football. Everyone in the stadium is all bunched together, which can sometimes be a good thing because of the cold weather, and it makes it all much cozier.

One of the highlights of the football games has to be at halftime when the band comes out to play. The crowd goes wild and you start to question how you even considered any other school to be at or support. If you're lucky, you may go to a school who is known for having a good band. You can see people as far as the eye can see pulling out their phones to video the band's performance.

At the end of the day, it's all about the 110,000 people standing in the stadium with you singing your Alma Mater. No matter if you win or lose, you're proud to be supporting the school that you love. There should be no other place you'd rather be.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine.
