Family members are those who will be there for you from start to finish. They supply you with ongoing support, honesty, knowledge, protection and unconditional love that no one else in the world can give you.
Though we technically share the same DNA as our family, we are all different in our own way. We have different goals, dreams and wishes, but in the end we will support each other until the end. Having such strong support systems is what keeps us motivated to strive to be better in every way possible. Most of our success comes from the encouragement and positivity we receive from our family, and for that, we should be forever thankful.
The honesty within families is brutal. It may sound harsh, but let’s be honest, it is necessary. Even if the truth is not what I want to hear, they make sure to get through to me. Whether it is their opinion on an outfit or my exercise habits, they do not hold back. Who knows where I would be without them?
Family will teach you concepts that no book or class can teach you. You are raised to have a strong set of morals and principles. My grandpa has always made sure I turn the lights off when I leave a room. My dad constantly reminds me to keep the doors locked. My mom…. well, like all moms, there are an endless amount of suggestions and demands that we carry out in our daily lives. In the moment, we tend to roll our eyes, but really we should embrace the help and knowledge shared by family because in the end they just want you to become a better person.
Family always should come first, especially when ensuring each member feels safe. Everyone has some type of fear and it is your family's job to eliminate it as much as they can. No matter what struggle you are facing, your family will always be there. They will stand by you through the ups and downs, failures and success. You are never alone.
No one in the world will love you like your family. The love they give is unconditional. They will love you through thick and thin. They will give however much affection and appreciation you want or need. They never expect anything in return because that is their job. Family will drop whatever is listed on their calendar to ensure you are happy and healthy. The unconditional love that we receive from every family member is something we should never take for granted. Always remember to be grateful for your family, not just this holiday season, but every day. At the end of the day, family truly is everything.
