To The Boyfriend Who Loved Me When I Was A Mess

When I arrived at college I remember the stress. the anxiety. the loneliness. I had joyful moments and would tell my mom about all the good stuff, but even the most loving mom in the world couldn't fix everything I was going through at that time.

But through some of the biggest heartbreak and struggles, I went through as a freshman I met one of the most important people in my life. This one friend would change my life in a huge way.

This friend was in one of my classes, but just a familiar face I had never had the energy to speak to until one night at my favorite hangout place. This one person was with some of my future best friends and I decided to talk to them. Every little part of that night is the opposite of romantic, but the details aren't important.

Those who were there know how each of them played a part in leading to me finding the love I still cherish today.

That one friend I met that night in a month would become my boyfriend and now 10 months later has loved me and cared for me in ways I never thought were humanly capable. My boyfriend first became a best friend that I was able to talk to in a time I didn't want to burden anyone.

He loves me and holds me when I cry. Whether those tears are because of the smallest inconvenience that for whatever reason crumbles my world or because I don't have the energy to get off the couch that day. He has mended not only my heart but my mind. My boyfriend has healed me.

My boyfriend rather than be a stressor, he relieves my stress. He shows me kindness when I expect anger over silly small things. He shows me love when I expect arguments. He has truly opened my eyes to how I should be treated, to the love I've always deserved.

He also laughs with me and smiles with me. We love each other's family, even though I wish we could see mine more. We love to cook dinner and watch movies at home as much as we love to go out to the club, casino, or a party. (Even though we can never agree between Disney or comedy movies.) We enjoy each other's company as we both have found someone to enjoy living life with.

My boyfriend isn't just a fling or and I love him for now but will probably get bored later.

I love my boyfriend unconditionally even though that much will still never be enough to match the love he has shown me. We love each other every day, especially the plain old Tuesdays.

(I Love You, Jacob. XOXOXO)

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
