Having a best friend to go through milestones and the ups and downs of life with is truly incredible.

I never knew that I would ever become so close with another person that was not family till I met you! You came into my life so unexpectedly and have been by my side ever since. Eight and a half years as best friends seems like a lifetime, but not when I have you by my side!

There have been so many highs and lows that you have been there for in my life. From losing animals, family members passing away and friends coming and going from our lives. You have always been the shoulder I could cry on and the one I could turn to for any advice. No matter if I needed advice on a boy, another friend, my crazy family or just life in general. There will not be a day that goes by that I will not be thankful that I have you as my best friend! God truly gifted me the sweetest, kindest and loving human to be my soul-sister!

Thank you for bringing me into your life and letting me experience so much with you! We are apart of each other's families and forever will be. We go to family dinners, parties, events and more together! You will be my maid of honor one day and I hope yours! My future children will call you Aunt Sam and never go their lives without having you in them!

This past year and a half have been tough being so apart and missing out on so much within each of our lives while being away at college yet here we are still as close as we have always been! When we get back together it is as if we were never apart and I love every second we have together! Getting to see you while being home from school during breaks is a gift and a blessing all in itself! Yes, going to different colleges and making new friends can be extremely hard at times but I am glad to know that even at the end of each day I can still call you up on the phone will anything on my mind and you will always be there!

There is not another friendship out there that could compare to the one that you and I share! Our friendship, sisterhood, and love for each other and one another's family grows with each day! I truly cherish you and the kind spirit in which you are!

As we enter into the next semester of our second year at college I hope you know that you are loved and cherished by not only me but many more of those in your life! Having a best friend like you in such joy, thank you for never leaving me!

I love you dearly my soul-sister!

To The Boy Who Made Me Love Again

Thank you for loving me and showing me how to love myself.

To the boy who made me love again:

From the very beginning of our relationship, you showed me you were different. You showed me how I should be treated.

After dating someone for three years, falling in love was the last thing I wanted to do again. I did not want to grow close to anyone and fall in love with every little aspect of someone, but with you, it was so much different. You were different from other guys I had talked to. You have done small things for me that make me so happy. From offering to order me pizzas while I'm working to ordering me a key chain that says "drive safe," it's the little things you've done to make me love you.

During my previous relationship, I had come to a custom of pulling out my card to pay for dates and thought it was okay to accept the fact that good morning text did not exist. Every morning since we started dating, you never forget to text me good morning. We almost fight over who is going to pay, because I can't expect you to pay for every date. You have shown me what to expect in a relationship.

You never fail to make me happy. Whenever I say I'm hungry, you get me Mexican. When I want to watch Netflix, you immediately put on The Office. I can mention one thing I want and you buy it because you know it will make me happy. You give me forehead kisses and it puts a smile on my face. Whenever I am upset, you won't get off the phone until you figure out what is wrong and make sure everything is okay.

You make me feel beautiful. I can come over in leggings and socks and Birkenstocks or I can come over in a nice shirt and booties, but either way, you tell me I'm beautiful. Whenever I just wake up and look a hot mess, you look me in my eyes and tell me I'm beautiful.

You always tell me to be careful whenever I'm driving and you make sure to tell me you love me every night before you go to bed. You remind me of things I know I'll forget and you literally read my mind. You motivate me with my schooling and tell me how proud you are of me when I make a good grade.

I never wanted to date again and I especially did not want to fall in love; however, you are everything I dreamed of wanting. I am so blessed to have met you and fallen in love with you. So to the boy who made me want to love again, I love you and thank you for everything.

An Open Letter To My Childhood Best Friend

To Molly Zucker, I hope this article makes everyone surrounding you hear your obnoxious, priceless laugh.

Dear childhood best friend,

When I look back on my childhood, there is only one person who reminds me of home: you. After moving out of state and time passing on, it's easy to forget where you came from and parts of your childhood. However, the minute I see your face and hear your goofy laugh, the feeling of home returns. You bring out the fun and young in me because let's be honest, you turned out to be the adventurous spontaneous one and I'm just a boring nerd in Organic Chemistry. No one can make my pure childhood laughs come out or make me feel as free-spirited and lively as much as you do.

We used to ride our bikes around town, eat salt and vinegar chips until our tongues burned, and do each other's makeup and nails. We would go to the mall and dress ourselves in this horrendous outfits, but ones that we actually thought were cute at the time (Why did you let me wear half of the stuff I did?) We wrote each other cards during Recess and talked about how much we would gossip on our Friday night sleepovers. I could recognize your cupcake vanilla perfume scent from a mile away, even from this day and when I do smell it, it brings back such a warm and comforting familiar feeling.

We would talk about what our future would be like, how fun high school would be and what it would be like if we went to the same college. I didn't know that I would move before all of that but little did I know we would remain best friends and talk every day still to this day. Although there are moments where it hurts me that I didn't get to watch you grow out of your crazy, middle school self and into this beautiful and amazing girl, I know one day we will be close in distance again. We still talk about our future like we know what's going to happen and hopefully, we will live together in NYC one day, like we've always talked about. Who knows where we will both end up, but no matter how far we are in distance, we will always be close at heart.

The best part of being long distance best friends is that when our other friends annoy us, we can randomly Facetime each other at any time for a quick laugh and a reminder of how sacred our special bond is. We get to plan trips to see each other and show each other what has changed in our lives, but there is one thing that will never change: our friendship. So here's to you being my maid of honor, crazy aunt for my future kids, my soulmate, best friend and partner in crime. You bring out the happiness and best in me and I will love you always and forever.

Love,

Your childhood best friend
