37 Things That Make Me Feel Anything But Happy

I've been ill this week, so I've had plenty of time to reflect on life and the things that make me feel all sorts of emotions. While they say to focus on the positive side of life, it'd be naive to assume that there aren't things, people, or places that make us feel a little bit mad or sad as well. So, without further ado, here are 37 things that make me feel every emotion except happy.

1. Sub-par sushi

2. Pancheros (Chipotle is the best and we all know it.)

3. When you are no longer alone and need to use headphones

4. People who keep texting you after you purposefully haven't responded

5. Similarly, essay texters (The chances that I read these texts without an exasperated look on my face are slim.)

6. Rain

7. Snow (Why am I in the Midwest?)

8. Homework, exams, projects/presentations

9. Long checkout lines when I'm purchasing one item

10. People who complain about things that they can control

11. A poor connection on FaceTime

12. Paying $11.50 for a beer at the ballpark

13. Paying $12.50 for a vodka cranberry at the ballpark (a cup of ice with a splash of juice)

14. Slow texters

15. The anxiety I get from watching the "typing" bubble

16. Slow WiFi

17. No WiFi

18. People who don't know when to shut up

19. People who tell the same story 10 times

20. Being bedridden

21. Coughing up a lung

22. Holes in my rainboots

23. Paying $5 for Girl Scout Cookies instead of $4

24. Delivery/shipping fees

25. People who lack any sort of personal hygiene

26. Hangovers

27. Accidentally closing out of Spotify (especially while I'm still listening to it)

28. Disappointing poops

29. Being too full to finish really good food (and eating it anyway)

30. Monotone lecturers

31. Sitting next to (or near) really annoying people on the airplane

32. Untangling headphones

33. Packing up all of my belongings for storage at the end of the school year

34. Professors who talk too fast

35. Any team that defeats the GS Warriors

36. The LA Dodgers

37. Uber price surges

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
