Stress is something most people experience regularly and can be caused by a number of things. Whether yours is caused by self-esteem issues, work, school, etc, you'll be stressed and your mood will be brought down. No matter the cause, everyone needs a way to relieve their stress. Here are 10 tips to make yourself feel better when you feel like you've been kicked down.

1. Go outside

Enjoy the fresh air. Sit under a tree and read a book. Cloud/stair gaze. You're bound to feel relieved while enjoying nature.

2. Put on your favorite outfit

Even if you aren't going anywhere, dress yourself up. Practice your makeup routine. If you don't wear makeup, that's okay. Just put something on that you makes you feel hot.

3. Hang out with friends

Get some friends together and go to the movies or hit the mall and laugh until you have a 6 pack of abs. Hanging out with your friends should show you that your lucky to have awesome people in your life. Being with people you love should always brighten your day.

4. Write in a journal

Write how you feel in pen. Typing it out can work, but writing it is raw. If you write in pen, you can't erase what you've done and that only proves that you are human. If you're angry/upset and don't want to write, just scribble on the page as hard as you can.

5. Go to a pet shelter

Animals are cute and fun. Does this need an explanation?

6. Cry

If you need to cry and scream, by all means go right ahead. Grab a pillow or stuffed animal and you wail as much as you need. When you're done, you can even treat yourself to a nap.

7. Talk about your feelings

Find someone you trust that won't be judgmental and will listen to you. If you want them to give advice, tell them how you feel and then let them have their turn to speak. Expressing your feelings aloud is called "getting something off your chest" for a reason. It's relieving to put your feelings out in the air and address them.

8. Watch your favorite movie

Watch it alone or with your favorite person. Your favorite movie will always make you happy.

9. Color/draw/paint

Being artsy is fun and will give you something to do with your hands so your mind won't be fixed on your issues. Your stress levels should decrease so when you're down coloring in the last detail, address your issues in a more calm manner.

10. Exercise

Don't go insane on the treadmill if you don't work out regularly, but walk at a steady pace and gradually work up to a light jog, then eventually up to a run. If you do this and other work outs on a regular basis, you'll lose weight and you'll feel better all around.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
