Why You Need A Fitbit

This spring I caved in and decided to buy myself the Fitbit Alta. People have been obsessed with their Fitbit so I decided to give it a try and it did not let me down! I was in between getting an Apple Watch or a Fitbit, but decided to go with the Alta because I wanted to use it more for fitness and I really liked how it monitors your sleep and exercise.

Above are the multiple styles that the Fitbit comes in: Fitbit Zip, Fitbit One, Fitbit Flex, Fitbit Charge, Fitbit Alta, Fitbit Charge HR, Fitbit Blaze, Fitbit Surge, Fitbit Aria.

Now onto why you need a Fitbit in YOUR life!

The Fitbit Holds You Accountable

You can set goals for yourself and you can adjust and change your goals as you go through the week. Your Fitbit will cheer when you are getting close to your goals and help motivate you to get all your steps in.

The Fitbit Motivates You

I added friends on my Fitbit and we can cheer each other to reach our goals and challenge each other to keep us staying motivated. My favorite thing about my Fitbit is how it can track my exercise and tells you how many calories you burned in your workout.

The Fitbit Makes Everything Feel Manageable

My Fitbit has taught me to make time for exercise and eating right. It also motivates me everyday to get all my steps in and to complete my goal. I am very pleased with my results from my Fitbit, now my whole family has a Fitbit and we compete to get our steps in and see who has the most!

If I haven't sold you on it already, just go out and get one and see for yourself how great they are!

Epic Creation Myths: Norse Origins Unveiled

What happened in the beginning, and how the heavens were set in motion.

The Norse Creation Myth

Now, I have the everlasting joy of explaining the Norse creation myth. To be honest, it can be a bit kooky, so talking about it is always fun. The entire cosmos is included in this creation myth, not just the earth but the sun and the moon as well. This will be a short retelling, a summary of the creation myth, somewhat like I did with Hermod's ride to Hel.

8tracks radio

We all scroll through the radio stations in the car every once in a while, whether its because we lost signal to our favorite one or we are just bored with the same ol' songs every day. You know when you're going through and you hear a song where you're just like "I forgot this existed!" and before you know it, you're singing every word? Yeah, me too. Like, 95% of the time. If you're like me and LOVE some good throwback music, here's a list of songs from every genre that have gotten lost in time, but never truly forgotten.

beer on the beach

Summer is hot and humid, and it's almost like summer was made specifically to drink the refreshing, cold, crisp wonderful, delicious, nutritious nectar of the gods. Which is none other than beer; wonderful cold beer. With summer playing peek-a-boo around the corner while we finish up this semester, it's time to discuss the only important part of summer.
