Why I Love Steph Curry

Steph loves basketball. Basketball is life. Therefore, Steph is life.

Why I Love Steph Curry

In the past year, Steph Curry has become one of the most talked about athletes in the world. Even if you don't follow the NBA, you most likely know who he is. On that note, if you don't, Steph is a point guard for the Golden State Warriors, last season's champions over my least favorite player and least favorite team, LeBron and the Cavs.

(I'm from Boston...sorry not sorry, LeBron. These memes were very necessary.)

On top of winning his first NBA championship, Steph was the NBA's Most Valuable Player. He was also selected to the NBA All-Star team for the second year in a row as well as the All-NBA First Team for the first time. He led the NBA in three-point field goals (which he's held since 2013) and free-throw percentage. On top of these incredible accolades, Steph won the ESPY Award for Best Male Athlete and Best NBA Player and the BET Award for Sportsman of the Year. He's started the 2015-2016 season incredibly, averaging 35.8 points a game with a 51 percent three-point percentage. Damn. (http://espn.go.com/nba/player/stats/_/id/3975/step...)

I think Steph Curry is perfect. Actually perfect. These days, I can't get enough. Here's why.

Pure talent.

Yes, he's really, really good.

After watching him throughout the season, in the playoffs, and in the NBA Finals last year, I became very intrigued. His playing style, determination, hard work, and charisma is like no other. I love watching him play, so much so that I stream some Warriors' games online (going to school in Syracuse doesn't make it easy to watch on TV if they're not on ESPN). The way he and his teammates click on the court is unbelievable. His maturity level is years above a lot of professional athletes. It's really refreshing to see someone who loves the game, plays it right, and doesn't break the law (it's sad that I have to say that these days....a sign of the times). He has one of the prettiest shots I've ever seen and his handles are unreal. Example A:

He's a cutie.

For real. Hardcore cutie. Yes. 100 times yes. Tearing at my heartstrings.

His dance moves.

How are these not the most adorable moves ever?

His celebrations.

The dance moves and celebration gifs had to be separated. These speak for themselves. Super goofy, super fun to watch.

Nope. No high five for Draymond Green here.

Drake.

0-100, real quick. Drake's song "0 To 100/The Catch Up" features Steph in the lyrics. No, Steph isn't rapping, but Drake does say: "This (expletive) a (expletive) lay-up, I been Steph Curry with the shot, been cookin' with the sauce, Chef Curry with the pot, boy." This is kinda cool. And by kinda cool, I mean really cool.

Riley.

His daughter is without a doubt the cutest girl on the planet. The Internet exploded into a frenzy after she appeared in Steph's postgame interview one night. With Steph's success in the playoffs and in the NBA Finals, Riley was showcased quite often.

Take a look. You'll laugh, I promise. Little munchkin was born for the spotlight.

Riley has captured everyone's hearts with that adorable smile, cute sassiness, and love for her dad.

Family goals.

I'm pretty sure I've never been more jealous of a family in my entire life. There is now a fourth part to this adorable crew, Ryan Carson, who is almost four months old.

Steph's entire family goes to many, if not all, of his games. They were showcased a lot throughout this past season's playoffs and finals, as they always had the best celebrations and reactions to plays and situations.

Relationship goals.

Steph and his wife, Ayesha, are the epitome of relationship goals. They got married in 2011 and had been dating since 2008. They first met in a youth group at the church their parents attended. Ayesha is one of Steph's biggest supporters. She's always in the stands cheering on her man. Steph also supports Ayesha's passion for cooking as well as the business she's started because of it.

Let's face it, they're beautiful together. I'm getting super jealous just looking at all of the pictures of them on Google. Damn. Wow.

They even responded to Drake's "cooking" lyrics about Steph in this parody video.

So, from this article, I think you can guess that I really really love Steph Curry. I'm okay with it, though. Celebrity crushes are cool. Everybody has them. I'm shocked I don't have a poster of him in my room or his jersey yet. Gotta get on that ASAP.

Aside from Steph being a huge crush of mine, he is also an inspiration. He works so hard to be the best he can be, and that work has certainly paid off. I appreciate the way he conducts himself as well. He is mature and humble. These days, there are too many self-indulged, selfish people like Johnny Manziel, so it's nice to have a break from that by watching Steph.

As a Boston sports fanatic, I tend to keep my love for the Warriors and Steph on the down-low. I do love my Celtics, but they've been struggling in the past few years, and watching the Warriors has helped me overcome my team's frustrations. If only Steph was on my team. If only.

xoxo,

Steph's biggest fan

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
