Have you ever felt anxious or felt like the world is ending? You worry about tasks that could be done in minutes like studying for a midterm exam, or preparing for a brilliant speech at an award ceremony? Or you feel like your professors are doing too much, that they are giving out so many essays?
Like myself, your heart might start racing and you may have no control over your emotions because you have too much stuff to do. Then, once you do the task, you forget everything and start having a panic attack! This, my friend, is called stress. Everyone has stress, so here are some things to avoid feeling pressured.
1. Take a minute and breathe

If you have something major to do or a dramatic experience happened, take a minute and think. You should take three deep breaths and tell yourself to calm down. Otherwise, stress could lead you into future health problems, consequences, and sometimes drama. Have some confidence and tell yourself that everything is going to be okay. If you just relax and explain any situation calmly, then you will be fine.
2. Seek physical assistance

If you feel like you can't control the stress, find some guidance. If you have a personal situation that's crawling under your skin, then you should find someone to talk to. Speak to a friend or find professional help with a guidance counselor. Talking your way out is the key to set you free. If you feel that school, work, or life is bothering you, it is never too late to ask. Sometimes, when you're stressed out, it's not good to lash out on other people when they are just trying to help things out. Accept that they are friends who really care about you because it will really help your day.
3. Seek spiritual assistance

Sometimes, stress could affect you mentally and emotionally. It's good to find some spiritual guidance to heal you and calm your nerves. Praying or going to church can uplift you. You can also find other spiritual assistance other than religion to help you, like meditating. It may seem weird but, once you try it out, your mind will become clearer. Some days, you might even feel lazy! Calm and serene music will sooth your spirit as well. You can even listen to beautiful sounds like ocean waves.
4. Take a vacation

It's not too late to call it a break. Time is money with work, but sometimes it's best to take a chill pill. Take some time off and go off to places like the beach or find a major hobby that you like to do. Sometimes, taking your mind off of things could ease your anxiety. I love to have a break from school every once in a while. I like to enjoy the sun, feel the sunny breeze and have a sip a ice tea to ease your mind.
5. Smile it off!!!

It's okay to feel stressed out because everyone goes through it. It's called life. Once you have enough positivity and dignity, then everything will go fine and steady. It's good to have a balance between work and relaxing.
