I recently came across a quote searching through Pinterest. After reading and thinking about it for a moment, I realized that this quote is now my favorite quote.
It speaks to me in such a way that gives me drive to want to continue to do amazing things.
The quote is, “I want my heart and my passions to be the most beautiful things about me.”
This quote couldn’t be more true about me. I have always tried my best to have good intentions and to care a lot about others. I have always labeled myself as a compassionate and loving person. I also pour my heart into what I love the most; What sets my soul on fire and my passions.
I have found these two things to be what matters most in my life and what gives it purpose. I think it's important that we all find these things in our lives.
It’s no lie that the world could use a little more love in it, but it isn’t an easy task to fulfill. The world can be tough and too harsh, but if we find it in ourselves to have a little more love, even the smallest amount, it will surely make us feel better.
We can’t let the world make us harsh.There still needs to be something tender about us.This is even something I struggle with on a day-to-day basis. This is why the heart aspect of this quote means a lot to me.
The other part of the quote, the passion, speaks to me a lot. I’m the kind of person who puts herself wholeheartedly into whatever I do. The things I do become something that I truly care about. I have even gotten to the point where I have cried over the things I love whether it was when I ended soccer or stopped the violin, to when I got hurt and couldn’t play rugby for my first season.
But I also have felt much joy when things go well and I find success. I care so much about these passions because they make me happy. Everyone needs to find at least one thing that makes them feel all kinds of emotions, that gives them motivation, things that give them spark. It should be something that becomes who they are so that when they talk about it, others can see how much it means to them and how they light up about it. Something that they can’t help but feel great about for you.
What I want to ask of you, my reader, is to find some way to have a little more heart and find those passions. They will shape you for the better. You will also find out a lot about yourself and others.
