You don't need to worry anymore.
I know it's easier said than done, but just hear me out. How often has worrying over something changed the outcome? How many times did your freak out fix the problem? If you're anything like me, the answer to both those questions is never.
When we lose control over the situation, we naturally feel overwhelmed and go straight into panic mode. Our mind starts to spin and the fearsome thoughts take over. When you get to this point, all hope seems to have disappeared and those thoughts fester a deep, dark feeling of depression.
Why are we living like this? Why do we let ourselves get to this point?
Through my own experience, I've learned that worrying never changes the situation, only my stress level. I often worry about something for weeks that ends up working out perfectly. Actually, most of the time my situation works out just fine. And I'm willing to bet yours does too.
But why do we take ourselves to that dark place and let our thoughts get out of control? The truth is that worry is a sign of doubt. When you worry, you are doubting your strength, your abilities, and your value. You are telling yourself that the situation won't get better because you don't deserve to come out on top.
If you are religious, you are doubting God, which is never a good idea. Worrying over life when God is on your side seems silly. He's promised you a life and a future, so why do you freak out when He makes some changes so you can achieve that life? It's hard to see the big picture, but He's the creator of the universe. Don't you think He can handle anything you're facing?
I want you to know that you are strong and you are capable. When you worry, you're trying to tell yourself that you're weak, but I encourage you to instead find hope and remind yourself that you can do anything you set your mind to.
As I've tried to decrease my worrying, I've looked for ways to instead breed confidence and trust in my situation. Find a good book about self-love and really listen to your own needs. When you feel the nervous feelings building up, stop and breathe a little. Then, remind yourself that every other situation has come and gone, just as this one will.
Although we may be fearful for the future, we need to be confident in our abilities. Worry is a form of doubt that we need to overcome. Once we remind ourselves of the strength we have, there's nothing that can stop us from living freely and enjoying our lives.
So you don't need to worry anymore because now you know you're stronger than you think.
