1. BrewWerks Innovation (.3 miles)
Rise and shine at 6:30am all the way till 9pm. This is Cal Poly Pomona’s very own mini brewery. It is right in the corner on temple. If you live on campus, or close by, this is a great place to come to for a relaxing evening with a ice cold beer. They have a variety of original brew ranging from light to a hard IPA. It depends on your taste, the best recommendation is their Bronco Brown. An amber that hits the right spot for the evening. A college and lively environment, which is why this place is great for a quick meet up for drinks.
2. Oak Tree Lane (2 miles)
Over the hill and a 3 minute drive gets you to a more lively bar. Located in Diamond Bar, California, Oak Tree Lane gives the night owls a great hang out spot. Opened till 1am in the morning and inexpensive drink is the best way to spend your collage loans. There are pool tables, dart games, free wifi and in the back is an bowling alley. Great for group activities and bonding with new and old friends.
3. Beer, Wine and Spirits (2.4 miles)
If a lively bar is not your scene, you can try something more fancy. Beer, Wine and Spirits is a little house on a prairie; you will miss it you forget to slow down. Just down the hill from Oak Tree Lane, opens a door to a small elegant and quiet bar. A more appealing environment for the mature crowd, but if you feel being an adult for once, this is your spot to relax. They serve great wine, to pair with a simple and fulfilling meal. 4. O'Donovan's Restaurant & Pub (4.5 miles)
Take a stroll down a “supposedly” sketchy area at the heart of Pomona. NOT SAFE! Well, that is not entirely true, but downtown Pomona house the best dive bars and bars in the area. If you care for a bar environment that is filled with strangers “yelling” at each other and laughing at words they can barely hear. Opened till 2am, O’Donovan’s Restaurant & Pub is the right place for you. It is two story with an Irish restaurant on top and below reveals a full bar filled tons of great people.
5. Shamrock Grill & Pub (5 miles)
In an area that is less creepy and stared in the classic T.V soap titled ‘The OC’, Shamrock Grill and & Pub located in Chino Hills is where you can sit, have a decent meal, listen to live music and order a drink. Opened till 2am, the rooms fills up when the clock strikes 12am. The young crowd drizzle into the bar, and the dance floor glows in brilliant colors. An alternative to a fraternity party, and its every night with a full bar. Drink up!
