We all experience very uncomfortable situations throughout our days, some more than others. Here are a few popular situations most of us can sadly admit to being a part of.
1. Sneezing while driving
Although this is probably one of the most terrifying things that could happen to anyone, it can be so awkward. In the duration of just a split second, you have to manage to keep everything together, driving-wise, and successfully let out your sneeze without crashing your car. I'd say the keeping it together part is the most awkward part since you're just sitting there gripping onto the steering wheel for dear life so that you don't turn unexpectedly while trying to keep your foot from slamming on the gas during your sneeze.
2. Running with a backpack
First of all, if you're running with a backpack on, you're most likely running to a bus that's waiting for you or you're trying to cross the street quickly so that the cars that are waiting on you can get by. So it's safe to say that this is already a very embarrassing moment and everyone is probably watching you. Next comes the awkward part. With your full, heavy backpack on, you attempt to run. For some unknown reason, this is an extremely difficult and awkward thing to do.
3. Getting your socks wet
If you're human, you probably hate this feeling. Most people don't carry around an extra pair of socks with them, so when your socks get wet from a puddle you didn't see or an ice cube that someone left on the floor to melt, what are you supposed to do?!
4. When your stomach makes loud noises in a quiet place
You're hungry in class, and of course, your stomach has to make the loudest noises immediately when everyone has quieted down to listen to the lecture of the day. You try your best to prevent it from being too loud but it inevitably becomes a distraction to not only you, but your classmates as well.
5. Saying goodbye to someone that's about to walk the same direction as you
You've said your goodbyes and now it's time to go your separate ways, but you end up not going separate ways. You both know you're walking in the same direction. In your head, you're both wondering if you should say another goodbye after you actually part ways or laugh it off. No one says anything... awkward.
