First and foremost, the T.V. show "The Office" is a workplace comedy. The show's humor comes from the fact that it portrays a 9-5 desk job in an excruciatingly realistic light, down to the awkwardness of everyday encounters, the boredom of the Dunder Mifflin employees, and the "dramatic" happenings that occur in Scranton, PA. Among these life-like events, the show explores relationships between Dunder Mifflin employees. We see friendships growing and falling apart, as well as romances sparking. Although it's meant to be a comedy, I don't think I've ever cried more while watching any other T.V. show; some of the events that happen hit so close to home that it's oftentimes caused me pain and/or sadness. Here are some of the most moving moments throughout the show's history:

1. When Jim tells Pam his true feelings.

I was completely expecting her to say it back, so when she turned him down because of her commitment to Roy, my heart broke.

2. Jim and Pam's first kiss.

...and that beautiful moment when she decided to kiss him back.

3. Jim asking Pam on a first date.

We were all thinking "FINALLY!!!"

4. When Pam's parents decided to get a divorce and this happened:

This was a beautiful and strong affirmation of their love for each other.

5. Jim's proposal to Pam.

I've never seen a more perfect moment in T.V. history.

6. Michael's proposal to Holly.

I was so happy that Michael found his soul mate.

7. Jim and Pam's Niagara wedding.

I completely broke down during the montage of Jim and Pam riding The Maid of the Mist in their wedding clothes.

8. When Jim said goodbye to Michael.

9. When Pam ran to the airport to say goodbye to Michael.

This scene made my heart so happy. Although Michael annoyed Pam endlessly, she cared very deeply for him. We couldn't hear what they were saying to each other in this moment, but we could tell that it was the perfect goodbye.

10. Pam's breakdown after arguing with Jim over the phone.

The reality of this scene was heightened by the mic guy abandoning his post to comfort her. I'll be the first to admit that I sobbed right along with Pam.

11. When everyone sang "Seasons of Love" to Michael on the day of his last Dundies.

12. Angela's breakdown after admitting she's in love with Dwight.

13. When we thought it might be over for Jim and Pam and then this happened:

We could hear 1 Corinthians 13 being read from their wedding, which added to the intensity of this moment. There's nothing more heartbreaking than two people who love each other more than anything, but are distanced by misunderstandings.

14. When Jim tells Dwight to marry Angela

15. When Pam watches Jim's video compilation of the two of them falling in love.

And then he gave her the letter from the teapot.

16. Erin meeting her birth parents.

17. Dwight's proposal to Angela.

18. Michael's special appearance at Dwight and Angela's wedding.

And his perfectly timed "that's what she said."

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
