A Thank You Note To Donald Trump

Can you hear me? Can you hear my cry for help? Evidently, you can. Firstly, thank you for openly speaking out about a very important topic that concerns me and many others like me in a drastic way. Thank you for being so brave and standing up for what is right, despite what may be popular and trendy right now. I am not sure if everyone agrees with you on every topic but I can only hope that a right to life is one of the main reasons you were elected and now in office.

Thank you for recognizing little ol' me as a person. After all, I do have fingerprints, eyes, limbs, a heartbeat, vocal chords, feelings and of course, a soul. And all of that should be enough to count me as a person but unfortunately, it isn't enough for some people. But now I know for sure that I am a human being, not just something disposable, all thanks to you. Thank you for believing I am worthwhile. Thank you believing that I have potential and a purpose. Thank you for planning on working towards my justice while you are in office.

This has all gone too far, there are 125,000 babies just like me dying each day in their mother's wombs, without a voice. Thank you for giving me a voice. It is sadly seen as noble or brave to get rid of me. It is viewed as an easy decision that is my mommy's "right" but nobody cares about what I may think about this simply because I haven't had an opportunity to grow yet. My mommy and daddy might not want me or think they cannot afford me, but that is not my fault. At least now I may have a chance to survive thanks to you and the voters.

You gave us hope, you gave us a chance when everyone else was ignoring our screams and pleas for help. You winning this election might mean a lot of crazy things, but one thing I know for sure is that I know that I now matter. I know that someone in Washington D.C. is now fighting for me and my life. Thank you for choosing life and thank you for giving me a voice, Mr. Trump.

Sincerely,

Any unborn and unprotected lives that could potentially be saved now thanks to, finally, a pro-life president of The United States of America.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
