Study Channels To Beat End-Of-Semester-itis

As a college student, I run out of motivation quickly when it comes to studying. I mean, who wouldn't? It's easy to get sick of looking at the piles and piles of work and assignment and tasks we need to complete as a student and as an adult. However, these five channels have been inspiring me throughout the semester to keep working the entire way through and giving me a subtle reminder that we are all suffering together. Here is a list of the 5 best study channels (in no particular order) to keep you going!!

Private Chillout

My most favorite video on this channel is their 24/7 lofi hip hop radio - smooth beats to study/sleep/relax. I love listening to LoFi music when I'm studying, especially because the quiet talking provides the background noise I need to stay focused without getting stressed. On top of that, this video is 10 hours long!! What a godsend, honestly.

Study With Jess

Jessica is honestly amazing because her channel isn't just about studying—she gives great tips on getting your whole life together, from your mental health to your physical health. Sis is such an inspiration, and her tips are pretty realistic too. A huge issue with some study inspiration is that it tends to intimidate some people because it looks too perfect, but Jessica makes it seem... doable? Overall, she's a queen, and I love her and her channel. 10/10.

studytee

studytee is one of my most favorite study channels of all time. Her aesthetic is to die for, her handwriting is absolute perfection, and the wonderful music she adds to her videos is relaxing while you watch the video but also makes you leave wanting to get your own stuff done and be productive. And if that isn't the epitome of motivational, I don't know what is.

Janice Studies

Janice Studies is a great channel especially for those who like taking notes online. She has a great video on the app called Goodnotes 5. This app is so convenient to take and organize notes while carrying less in your backpack, and Janice's GOODNOTES 5!! ✏️ iPad Walkthrough makes it easy to learn how to use it.

TheStrive Studies

TheStrive Studies is such a great channel to play while you study if you like company. Jamie has real-time study-with-me videos on her channel that are hours long, some with music and some without, so you can study with her. She also has a Pomodoro timer running at the corner of her videos to keep track of how long you study to keep yourself motivated too.

Happy studying!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

The best superpower ever? Being invisible of course. Imagine just being able to go from seen to unseen on a dime. Who wouldn't want to have the opportunity to be invisible? Superman and Batman have nothing on being invisible with their superhero abilities. Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
