In case it wasn’t already clear, UCLA is superior to USC in every way. Recently, this was confirmed, yet again, when long-time USC fan Snoop Dogg’s son decided to commit to UCLA Football.
Cordell Broadus did what any self-respecting player would do and signed with UCLA instead of his father’s favorite team, USC. Broadus was offered a scholarship to UCLA his freshman year of high school, when he was just 15. He was ranked the 27th best receiver in the nation when he signed with the Bruins.
Although Snoop was hoping for a commitment to USC, he is happy for his son. In an interview he even joked saying he would get rid of all his USC “drawers” and go for UCLA “1,000 percent.”
Broadus is not the only famous son on the UCLA team. He will join Justin Combs, son of P. Diddy, in the Rose Bowl.
All of the new UCLA Bruins bring high hopes for the coaches and fans of the Bruins. After the 2014, season which was less than Bruins had hoped for, we look to these new recruits to bring a fresh energy to the team in the 2015 season.
We at The Odyssey cannot wait for the 2015 season and know that we have success in our future. When the Bruins take on the Trojans in the Coliseum next fall, we will have our fourth straight victory under our belts. Snoop Dogg will finally be able to celebrate after the rivalry game.
Congratulations too all the new UCLA Bruins. We can’t wait to cheer you on next fall.
And to Snoop and P. Diddy: we would really love it if you could play at Bruin Bash this year. K thanks!
