For this article, I will be taking a look at the pros and cons of Los Angeles. I will be excluding Orange County, because it is not a part of Los Angeles. These are my own opinions. I will be excluding celebrity sightings, because it is a pro and a con. It is cool to see a celebrity walking the streets of L.A. but there are also paparazzi all over the city.
Pro: Weather

For the most part, the weather in Los Angeles is beautiful. It is sunny almost every day, and it doesn't get cold very often. Sure there are days when is the weather is poor, but those days are limited. If you are near the beach, the weather for the most part is extremely nice.
Con: Traffic

When people complain about L.A. traffic, they mean every bit of it. It doesn't matter if you are on the freeway or the streets, you will hit traffic, especially during rush hour. I have spent countless hours on the 405 during rush hour and it isn't fun.
Pro: Food

There are so many fantastic restaurants in L.A. I've lived there for 18 years, and I still haven't been to some of the best restaurants the city has to offer. How many restaurants do you know that have a menu item named after Barack Obama? Roscoe's House of Chicken and Waffles does, and it is really good. Roscoe's is just one of the many great restaurants in L.A.
Con: Tourism

Sure, tourism helps the economy, but being a native, I've seen my fair share of tour buses driving the streets of L.A. Natives try to avoid Hollywood, because it is mostly filled with tourists. Especially during the summer and winter breaks, that's when tourism picks up.
Pro: Sports
Los Angeles is the second biggest sports market in the U.S., behind New York. L.A. sports has a rich history from UCLA's men's basketball team's historic run from the late 1960s to the mid-1970s, to the showtime Lakers. The Lakers have won 11 of their 16 NBA championships while playing in L.A. and won five in the 2000s. L.A. now has all four major sports in the city with the Rams coming home in January. If you look at all of the professional sports teams in L.A., you got the Kings, Dodgers, Lakers, Clippers and now the Rams, not mention UCLA and USC. Most of these teams play at the Staples Center. I do not include the Angels in Los Angeles sports because they play in Anaheim. Their full name is the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. My one piece of advice is that if you attend a sporting event in L.A. Do not wear a jersey of a rival L.A. team.
