Who here is REALLY into politics?

There is no need to be ashamed about not really being into them. You might be expressing political opinions right now because we are in the time of the 2016 election, a time where all the tension around this subject reached an all-time high. There are a lot of people who are into politics, and that is completely fine. For some people, politics plays a more significant role in their lives. However, just because you may know people who are all about politics, it does not mean that you have to be a fan of them as well.

That does not mean that you do not have any opinion about politics, you do. If you were to ask any person, you will find that they may have at least one opinion on a political issue. For many people, a political issue they feel strongly about can result from a more personal experience with it. There is also the possibility that a person may have done their homework on the issue and find that statistical data provides a good argument for an issue.

However, for people who are not into politics, this time of the year can be one where they can be more easily swayed by political parties to be fully onboard with all of their issues. This can be an issue, because then you are not able to really form your own opinion with a bunch of parties bombarding you with messages to join their side. With all of these messages out there and only so much we can take in, it can make those who have little investment in the subject pick a side they may not want to pick.

This article is not meant to tell the less politically inclined who they should be voting for in the election. Whoever a person votes for, it is their right to vote for them, no one can tell them any differently. However, in this time, it is still important to educate yourself on these political issues and walk into it with an open mind. Doing this will allow you to find the issues and candidates that match your beliefs and vote for them. For people who are not fans of politics, you can still be involved, you just do not have to be AS INVOLVED like others.

I am not a person who is really into politics, but I always make an honest effort to keep myself educated on the topics and find the issues that I feel strongly on. As I said, just because you are not political, it does not mean that you cannot have any say in politics. It is your right to choose the issues and sides you believe in without having others influence your decision.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
