Every team in the NBA is looking for their next big shot, but not many teams can make the right moves to acquire these superstars. Clubs have to take actions before the NBA trade deadline occurs on the 16th Thursday of the season or mid-February. Clubs can trade players, draft picks, assets and even cash. No trades are permitted after the trade deadline, as the playoffs are around the corner, and problems can occur when players join teams that late into the season. Trades are finalized and official after the General Manager or GM approves the offer and makes the move. With the right trade, teams can find themselves with a superstar that helps win games and drive the team to the playoffs.

In the 2016-2017 NBA season, many trades have been made between clubs to lay their hands on the best of the best. Some of these trades made teams go from the last seat to the seventh or eighth seat, and even making the playoffs. One trade example during this season was between the New Orleans Pelicans and the Sacramento Kings. The Kings traded their best player, Demarcus Cousins, and acquired three new players along with two crucial picks. This trade favored the Pelicans more, as they acquired their second superstar and are on the way to winning more games. Another key trade that happened this season was between the Toronto Raptors and the Orlando Magic. The Magic traded center Serge Ibaka for guard Terrence Ross and a first round draft pick. This trade favored both teams, as the Raptors got a dependable center and the Magic acquired a necessary guard and an important draft pick.

Trades between clubs can affect the players, the coaches, the employees and us as the audience of the NBA. When players get traded, they sometimes have to quickly relocate, which can cause inconvenience with their families and the people that work with and for them. Players can also emotionally be hurt when traded, as they worked hard with another team and developed friendships with other teammates. Another impact of players being traded is their relationship with the coaches; it is key for new players to build strong and healthy relationships with coaches. An unhealthy relationship with coaches can make a player feel as if they are not needed, make the coaches feel as if they are not doing a good job, and cause the team to lose games. A new player also has to develop a strong relationship with his teammates, as they have to work together in order to win. The employees of the club can also be affected, as sometimes players can be hard to control and may cause problems. Finally, the audience is also impacted by trades. The audience watches and pays for the games, so if a unfavored trade is made, clubs lose audience, which leads to loss of money for the clubs.

To sum it up, NBA trades play an important role in the lives of players and coaches, and they improve teams as a whole. The concept of trading makes the league more interesting and competitive for players and the audience. NBA trades are a big part of the game and help make completion more fair and exciting. Although a set of audience do not prefer trading of players but trading leads to a balancing act of the team. It's more required for the betterment of the teams across clubs.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
