My Dad has become not only a great role model to me but my superhero in life. There is nothing he would not do for my family and I. Many people do not have this in their home lives and I am so grateful to have him in my life. There a so many reasons why I see him as a superhero. Some are that he will always be a shoulder to cry on and will always protect me when harm comes my way, he has made my life so special, he has taught me all about sports and how to play, he will always be my one of my first loves, and someone that I can truly call a best friend, role model, and super hero. ( Mom, I Love you too so much!)
My dad has done such amazing things for my family and I. If I need something I know I can call him and he will try to help in any way possible. He works so hard so that we can have an awesome life. He does so much and sometimes I do not thank him for it but I am so happy that he is my Father. The work he does for not only me but other people is so great. He is on the most selfless people I have ever met in my life and will bend over backwards to help not only his family but his friends, too. He is such a great shoulder to lean on because he is there to understand what is wrong and we work together to make it better. Whenever so one tries to harm me I know he will be there to protect me. And he can always put a smile on your face. Some of the jokes he has maybe crazy but that is what makes him such a great person.
My life would not have been this great if it was not for my Dad (or my Mom). They are my main support system and make me feel so special inside. He makes me want to work harder for my dreams. I always try to make him happy with what I do in my everyday life. My goals in life would not be what they are without him ( and Mom) to support and push me through. He will always be someone I can turn to in my life gets tough.
Sports are a huge part of my families lifestyle. We watch and play sports, it is one of the many ways that we have come together as a family. I have learned to love the Red Sox, Vikings, Celtics, Duke, and so many more teams because of my Dad. Sports is one of the ways that we communicate so well. One of my favorite memories was going to Fenway, for my first ever Red Sox game, and my Dad did not buy us tickets before the game. He said we had to wait in line outside the stadium to get our tickets, so we waited outside of Gate C for a long time. When we finally got up to the ticket window, the teller asked how many tickets; my dad said four and asked for the best seats in the house. The teller told us we were in luck with our seats. We walked into the stadium, that I was taught so much about. Our seats were on the third base line and about 15 rows up. It was AMAZING! We ate and sang "Sweet Caroline". The Red Sox won that game. I was so happy with my life right there. I think that is why I always remember that day because my Dad was like a little kid again while watching his favorite teams with his beautiful daughter's and wife. And not to mention all the cheer competitions he had to sit through and the long hours of coaching me in softball and basketball.
My first love in my life will always be my Daddy. I will always be a Daddy's Girl. No matter where I go in life, who I get married to, how much time I spend with my guy friends, or just friends in general, he will always be my number 1 man in life. I know there has been times when he has not liked my boyfriends or just wants to spend time with me. He will always be a man that I can trust and go to for advice. And I know when he is gone (in a long long long time) I will miss him like crazy. He will have a lasting impression on me that I will never forget.
My Dad is someone that I can truly call a best friend, role model, and super hero. He has pushed me beyond my comfort zones and has made me such a strong woman. And I take it as a compliment when people tell me I am just like my father and that I look like him because he is such a great person to be like. I wish that when I have children they can see how great of a person he is.
Love you Daddy XOXO
