Laughter Is The Key That Unlocks The Heart

There may be that special someone that makes you laugh on days when you didn't even think it was possible. Every time you are around this person their own smile just lights up the room you are in and you can't help but accept that it's contagious. No matter what mood you're in or whatever went wrong that day, you know their humor is there to save you. So if you can't make a girl laugh, including myself, then don't even bother.

When I first notice a guy, their smile is what draws me in. It is scientifically proven that smiling can decrease your overall stress. Whether you force a smile on or see someone else's, it can overall brighten up your mood. It also takes a specific guy to understand my humor and when you find the select one or few, you won't even have to force a smile because it will come naturally. I must admit, having a f**cked up sense of humor or dry sense of humor, not everyone gets. It is even more imperative when that guy matches your humor because research shows that personality psychology relates to how you use your sense of amusement in your everyday life.

It is also rare when you find that tears are flowing from your eyes but not because you're sad, but because you're laughing your damn ass off. Rare, but possible. Along with those tears of banter, comes the strong snorting pig laugh and that takes a special someone to witness that. To me, the best feeling is trying to catch your breath because you're laughing so hard as you can taste your own tears of joy. Sometimes you can just look at a person and start frantically laughing, trying to hold yourself together in public as they do the same. A strong connection with tons of inside jokes with someone is from growth and can make whatever situation you're in bearable.

There have been times when my face would actually hurt because I'm forcing myself to laugh at someone else's jokes that I just do not understand. Hence, probably why I am not seeing or dating them anymore. But when I can connect with someone, laughing is effortless. In fact, no one else around me has to even understand why I am laughing so hard as long as my partner in crime looks as stupid as I do. If you are looking to win my heart over, potential boyfriends aren't the only ones that have to put their humor out in the open, best friends must do the same. I truly believe that humor is one of the biggest traits that make any relationship successful, along with trust and honesty.

I can be in a room full of people and feel completely isolated if this one person isn't there. Their humor makes the day manageable and even gives me something to look forward to. So thank-you to the people in my life who's laughter is contagious and thank-you to that special someone that made me realize that it doesn't take much to smile.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
