On the date of September 23, 2016 Kevin Garnett retired from the game of basketball. He was one of the few players to make it in to the NBA (National Basketball Association) straight out of high school. He was drafted in the year of 1995 by the Minnesota Timberwolves. It is a no doubter that he will be in basketball Hall of Fame. An illustrious career is what he had while being in NBA. During his career he played with the Minnesota Timberwolves, Brooklyn Nets, and the Boston Celtics. As a member of the T'wolves he turned that organization around. During his first year in the NBA he was voted to the All-Rookie Second team. During his second season in NBA he helped the T'wolves make the playoffs. Being a player drafted straight out of high school he was able to be successful. As the years moved on he became the franchise player for the T'wolves. In doing so during the years of 1996-2004 he lead his team to the playoffs. The NBA season 2003-2004 he won his first MVP(Most Valuable Player) award. Also he was able to take his team to the Western Conference Finals that same season. They expected to make it to the NBA Finals but the Los Angeles Lakers were the roadblock that stopped their hopes and dreams. Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O'Neal was too much for them. With the many ups of being an NBA superstar it will also come with its downfalls. From the years of 2004-2007 they could not make the playoffs, Then during the 2007 off season that is when he was traded to the Boston Celtics. The Boston Celtics were able to make the big three with getting Ray Allen and Kevin Garnett to join Paul Pierce. The Celtics had a an unbelievable season and they were able to make it to the NBA Finals. The Celtics were able to be NBA Cahmps in six games. That was his first time being an NBA Champion and that season he also won the Defensive Player of the Year award as well. The following year they did not make it to the Finals. in 2010 they were able to get back there but that came with a rematch to the LA Lakers. This time it did not turn out so well for them because they lost. Then in the year of 2013 he was traded to the Brooklyn Nets. Trying to build a super team there failed. The year of 2015 he returned back to the T'wolves. He will retire as a T'wolves and will eventually become a Hall of Farmer. The accolades he was able to amount were 15 time All-Star, 4 time All NBA First Team, 3 time All NBA Second Team, 2 time All NBA Second Team, 9 time All NBA First Defensive Team, and finally All NBA Second Defensive Team.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
