An ambivert is a person whose personality is a balance between an extrovert and an introvert. Seeing as I am an ambivert, jobs these days can be hard to find — I'm a picky teenage girl. Often I find myself wondering if I'm too introverted or outgoing for a particular job. However, here are a few jobs that seem to have the perfect balance on interacting with humans but also not interacting at all!
1. Dog Sitting!
Dog sitting is an easy job that requires zero patience and pays really well. Watching cute little puppies or big playful doggies requires an interview with the owner and occasional phone call, but other than that, dog sitting is pretty much just you and some cute animals.
2. House Sitting/Cleaning jobs
Jobs like this can be menial, but there is good money in it. Much like dog sitting, there is a balance between human interaction and alone time just doing your job.
3. Mentoring/Babysitting
Now this may sound like too much, but tinier humans require more patience and less intellectual strain. Mentoring or watching someone's child is a job that always has openings and makes you some dough. This job is rewarding on both sides: you can teach someone else something, or they can teach you and show how simple life really is.
4. Working in an office for a small business
If you are a teen, this job may be hard to catch, but keep your eye out because privately owned businesses are looking for young people that can file, declutter, work a computer, and be patient with customers. Working in an office can offer alone time to work, but it can also require daily interaction with customers!
Happy job hunting, ambiverts!!
