If the Patriots can come up over 15 points in the last quarter of the Super Bowl, go into over time for the very first time ever in Super Bowl history, then anything is possible. Even the Jacksonville Jaguars playing in Super Bowl 52. Anyone from Duval knows of the Jags infamous number of losses each season, but even through the losses hundreds of people still threw on their teal and black to show their Jags support every Sunday in Jacksonville.
Jags owner Shahid Khan, revamped the EverBank Field stadium in 2013, adding two 362 foot long scoreboards at each end of the field, two huge pools and many more renovations with more to come in the next year. Khan’s goal was to expand fan base and get the fans excited about the upcoming seasons, selling more tickets etc. Well he did a very get job getting fans hyped, more people went to Jags games on Sundays, there were more season ticket holders, on top of the loyal die hard Jags friends.
This last season for the Jags was probably one of the worst in history, with winning 3 games and losing 13, and this season Khan finally decided to fire head coach Gus Bradley after the 21-20 loss to the Texans this season. Doug Marrone, defensive head coach for the Jags, now Jags head coach for now is trying to do his best to coach the team to a winning season.
Yes I know we just had the Super Bowl and the next football season is more than 6 months away, but they need to start now, training, practicing plays, making new plays etc. if they want to be a better team next year. Many say it’s the players, “they don’t try hard enough”, “they give up” and many say it’s the coach not calling the right plays, but lets be real it’s a combination of both.
Every FSU student should support the Jags because two of our previous FSU players have a spot on the Jacksonville Jaguars football team, Jalen Ramsey and Telvin Smith. I’m from Jacksonville so I’ll always be a Jags fan but more people should support our fellow players and they may play better.
Over the summer in Jacksonville, some Jags players blamed the fans, calling them unsupportive and “not real fans.” Which many fans may have gotten tired of supporting a team that always loses, but don’t hate Jags because you still have some loyal #DTWD fans out there.
So if the Patriots can put the Super Bowl then so can the Jags, miracles happen every day, Jags to the Super Bowl 2018.
