Highlights From The 2016 Super Bowl Commercials

The Super Bowl has progressed from being just a night of football to a night full of comedy shorts as advertisements for major companies. Each year big names in the food, car and even beer industry try to out-do each other with the funniest and most memorable advertisements. If you are like me and enjoy the commercials just a little bit more than the actual game, then check out my list below of highlights from the Super Bowl 50 commercials this year.

1) "Dad-Do #4 by NFL's DeAngelo Williams - Pantene"

Perhaps, my favorite from the line-up of ads this year is Pantene's commercial of the Dad-Do featuring a popular group of football players attempting to style their daughter's hair. These commercials are pretty adorable.

2) "The Bud Light Party: Super Bowl Commercial 2016"

The new political party running for office this campaign season includes the infamous Amy Schumer and Seth Rogen.

3) "Budweiser USA: 2016 Super Bowl Commercial"

For anyone considering drinking and driving after the Super Bowl, Helen Mirren quickly calls those people out and provides a short reminder to stay in after the game.

4) "HEINZ Ketchup Game Day 2016 Hot Dog Commercial"

A commercial about a stampede of wiener dogs dressed up as hot dogs running toward their owners of ketchup and mustard. It sounds ridiculous, but it is actually really cute.

5) "Avocados From Mexico Super Bowl 2016 Commerical AVOS in Space"

A alien museum showing off the various pop culture and other notorious items from the human world to a group of aliens, including the coveted "Avocado Tree."

6) "T-Mobile 'Restricted Bling' Super Bowl Ad"

If you haven't seen Drake's video of "Hotline Bling" enough, here is a commercial from the Big Game showing off Drake's dance moves one more time.

7) "Skittles: 'The Portrait' w/ Steven Tyler. Super Bowl 50"

A portrait of Steven Tyler made of Skittles singing aloud to the man himself, Steven Tyler.

8) "Doritos Crash The Super Bowl Finalist"

A commercial on what any dog will do to get Doritos.

9) "All-New Honda Ridgeline 2016 Big Game Commercial"

Honda's commercial this year features sheep singing a capella "Somebody To Love" by Queen. Who doesn't love acapella singing sheep?

10) "#Pokemon20: Pokémon Super Bowl Commercial"

Pokémon is celebrating their 20th anniversary with this inspiring Super Bowl advertisement this year.

11) "Ryanville - Hyundai Super Bowl Commerical"

Hyundai's automatic emergency braking for when you are too distracted driving through a town only filled with Ryan Reynolds.

So that was my quick list of highlights from the Super Bowl 50 commercials this year. Which ones were your favorites? Did you enjoy the acapella sheep in the Honda commercial? Let me know your thoughts on the big game's line-up in the comments below.

Taylor Swift in orange dress playing a moss-covered piano on stage with bright lights.

A three-and-a-half-hour runtime. Nine Eras. Eleven outfit changes. Three surprise songs. Zero breaks. One unforgettable evening. In the past century, no other performer has put on an electric performance quite like Taylor Swift, surpassing her fans ‘wildest dreams’. It is the reason supporters keep coming back to her shows each year. Days later, I’m still in awe of the spectacle ‘Miss Americana’ puts on every few days in a new city. And, like one of Taylor’s exes, has me smiling as I reminisce about the memories of the night we spent together.
