Mulan
I was in the third or fourth grade and had an obsession with Disney movies, but in particular, Mulan. She is one of the few Disney female characters that isn’t a princess and is stronger than most man. This Halloween was one of my favorite because my outfit was authentic. My kimono was a gift from my cousin who had visited Japan. I wore a black wig that was extremely itchy and my mother painted my face white. This paint became hard making it hard to move my face. The best part of this Halloween was that I won the costume contest for my grade.
Ladybug
Elmo
Sleeping Beauty
Viking
At my high school, it was uncommon for students to dress up for Halloween. But my junior year I decided to dress up as a Viking. My dad went to Halloween City and picked up the costume, but I borrowed it for the day. It consisted of a hat, a vest, fur pants and boots. It was one of the more comfortable costumes I have ever worn!
Pumpkin
Spongebob Squarepants
Clown: Before the creepy clown epidemic…
Pink Lady
When my mom graduated high school in 1979, the big movie that was in theaters was Grease. This movie was always playing in my house so I got to the point that I knew the movie inside and out. I admired the Pink Ladies, so when Halloween rolled around in 7th grade, that was precisely what I was. I ordered a Pick Ladies jacket off of the internet, wore black jeans and black boots. Wearing the outfit, I felt like I was a part of the movie. That costume will forever be one of my favorites.
Tiger
Hippie
Witch
“When witches go riding and black cats are seen. The moon laughs and whispers ‘tis near Halloween”!
I hope everyone had a spooktacular Halloween (:
