Dear whoever loves my best friend next,

I hope you'll love this boy as much as I ever could. I hope you'll learn to love him even more than I could actually.

I hope you'll help him and push him into being the best version of himself that he can be. I hope you'll push him to strive, in school. He's such an intelligent person, but he doesn't use the power of it.

I hope you'll be the best friend, who will learn to know him better than he did himself. I hope you'll remember the small things about him like the ways he laughed, hugged you, or his favorite chic-fil-a order.

I need you to know that my best friend is an amazing person. He might be difficult, and sometimes rather hard to love, but he is amazing and worth every bit of his difficultness. At one point we used to do everything together, but one day our friendship started going downhill, and it kept going until it finally reached the bottom.

Eventually, things had to end as we grew more toxic for each other by the day, but I hope our love for each other never changes. We just have to learn to love and support each other from a distance.

I also need you to know that he's hard to open up to people with. He will try to push you away, but it's on you to make sure you push yourself harder. He will get angry you won't leave him alone, but eventually he thanks you for not giving up on him, because he gets hard to handle.

Know that he's been hurt in the past, and he's hard to love people but once he loves you you'll know it. Youll meet a whole different boy.

At the end of the day, I hope that you'll watch over him forever to make sure he's okay. I can't watch him anymore, so I'm trusting you too.

I hope that you can and will be the person he can trust with his heart again and that he'll be able to turn to you for everything and tell you all his secrets as he did with me. It hurts my heart in so many ways, but we all move forward eventually.
