Spontaneous: performed or occurring as a result of a sudden inner impulse or inclination and without premeditation or external stimulus. Or, a person having an open, natural, and uninhibited manner.
Whether it be a spur of the moment decision to go on a road trip across the country with your best friends or simply to go someplace new and exciting with a loved one rather than ordering in, being spontaneous is an essential ingredient if you want to live a happy and carefree life.
Work, school, children…whatever your responsibilities may be are all important in their own right and benefit your life greatly. The small, unplanned, decisions and trips can add some spice to what may have been a somewhat repetitive and bland life.
1. Stress
If you are stressed, leaving everything behind (whether it be for a week, day or only an hour) including your cell phone and all other ties to your stress, getting away can be the perfect way to take a step back and relax.
2. Relationships
There is nothing that will bring friends or a significant other closer to you than trips and adventures. A spur of the moment adventure to the beach, a concert, the mountains or anywhere creates stories and memories worth a lifetime.
3. Living life
It may seem cliché but “living life to the fullest," is a phrase we often preach yet forget to actually live by. Spontaneity opens more doors than sticking to your strict schedule. Veering from the beaten path and finding adventure any opportunity you get will make what could have been an average Sunday one of the most exciting and fun days of your life.
4. Planning everything isn't always good
Don't get me wrong, being organized is a great quality many people lack, but it can quickly become the enemy. Some people like to plan everything down to the last second and even though this lifestyle is efficient, it is often not as satisfactory as those that choose to live a more free and carefree life.
