4 Reasons Why You Should Travel
Azamara Club Cruises

I'm going on a road trip within the next couple of weeks and as I was pondering the plans I'll be making for the trip, I thought about how good it is for my well-being to go out of town for some time as a little getaway. I realized some people never go out of town or plan on taking a trip because they do not want to miss out on work and what not.

I think it is important that everyone takes a break from their daily routines to see a beautiful place. America is known for having a workaholic culture due to the fact that only 57% of people use their vacation days. I think it's time for more people to take advantage of their vacation days and travel because there is so much beauty to see in the world.

1. You'll feel very good after you come back from traveling

I feel of sense a relief whenever I travel. A relief of getting away from the things that usually stress me out and take up a lot of my energy, such as school, work, or errands. Going to a new place that is unfamiliar or a place where no one will know your name will make you feel carefree. You will not have to worry about as many responsibilities and leaving will be almost therapeutic to your health.

2. There is the possibility of meeting new people

When traveling you will come across all kinds of people of different races, religions, backgrounds, etc. It doesn't hurt to get to understand their perspectives on the world or to try and learn something new from them. Everyone has experienced life differently and being open to people's cultures and stories brings open-mindedness, and a whole new understanding of the world. When traveling it can be enriching to meet people who have the potential of becoming a friend as well.

3. You may find out more about yourself when traveling

Traveling has been a very personal experience for me because it allows me to reflect on my own life. It reminds me of how small the world is and how little some of our problems are. Sometimes I see the way other people live their lives, which may be very different from the way I live my life, and that has inspired me in some way or another. If you are feeling conflicted about your educational path or career, traveling may help you realize the things that are the most important to you and all the possibilities of the world.

4. You'll realize how wonderful life is

You come across beautiful sights or places when traveling, but you may also come across beautiful people. You might come across strangers who can bring life to your day differently than what you're used to. You may see the similarities and differences between cultures, but realize that as humans we are not very different. Naturally, traveling will make you feel eager to celebrate and that is a very good feeling.

"If not now, then when?"

This quote serves to be true because you do not want to wait too long to see all the wonderful things the world has to offer. Go try good food and watch a beautiful sunsets in a different city before it is too late.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
