The Cleveland Cavaliers have been around since 1970, but are undeniably making their mark on history right now. Both this year and last year, the Cavs have made it to the playoffs. Last year, they came in second place in the finals, losing to the Golden State Warriors. This year, the Cavs are back and better than ever. Here are just a few of the many reasons why the Cleveland Cavaliers are the best NBA team right now.
1. Undefeated
The Cleveland Cavaliers are currently undefeated in the playoffs. Out of all the NBA teams, they have gone the furthest in the playoffs while still remaining undefeated. The Cavs have won eight games in a row so far, and are now heading to the Eastern Conference Finals.
2. LeBron James
The Ohio native, born in Akron almost always makes his way into a conversation involving the Cavs. As a four-time MVP winner and two-time NBA championship holder, LeBron is unquestionably one of the biggest aspects of the Cleveland Cavaliers. Us Clevelanders have had complicated relationship with the 31-year-old after he left for the Heat, but after returning to his home team, our love and support for LeBron is stronger than it ever has been.
Not only is King James an incredible regular season player, his skills on the court during the playoffs seem to increase as well. "Playoff LeBron" is nothing to mess around with. Last year, LeBron headed into the Finals with a handful of his teammates (Love and Kyrie) out due to injuries. LBJ still managed to dominate and win a number of games over the Warriors with key players lacking from the equation.
Before entering the Playoffs, LeBron goes on a social media hiatus, making one last post titled, "Zero Dark Thirty." King James makes sure all of his attention is on the game of basketball and nothing else.

3. Kyrie Irving
Currently the youngest player on the Cavs, at 24 Kyrie never lets his age get in the way. The Cavs point guard has definitely been turning heads this season, averaging more points than LeBron in the playoffs this year.
4. Breaking Records
On May 4th, the Cleveland Cavaliers broke the NBA record for most three-point shots in a game against the Atlanta Hawks. The Cavs shattered the previous record of 21 three-point shots and made a total of 25 by the end of the game.
5. Reserves
Our reserves can be considered to be good enough as other teams starting players. Mo Williams, Timofey Mozgov and Richard Jefferson are just a few of our valuable players who don't start, but nonetheless aid in the success of the Cavs each game.
6. Quicken Loans Arena
The Q is home to the largest scoreboard used in any NBA arena, guaranteeing a spectacular view of the game, whether you have floor seats or nose bleeds. Not to mention the 3-D floor projection on the court gets fans hyped up, just in time for LeBron's famous Chalk Toss.
7. Fan Base
The Cleveland Cavaliers fans are some of the rowdiest, most enthusiastic fans out there. Whether they follow their team to an away game or even support the Cavs at a Watch Party at the Q, Cleveland fans stay loud and supportive from the first quarter all the way into overtime.
