Extreme Bucket List Fit For Daredevils

Most people wouldn't even think about giving these activities a shot.

Unlike the majority of my friends and family, I am constantly daydreaming about my next adventure that's got at least a hint of danger, if not just simply being borderline life-threatening. Craving these adrenaline-packed experiences is often greeted with judgment and disbelief from those who can't relate, which is understandable. The following activities are on my extreme bucket list to be conquered at some point in the near future. If you're down for some terrifyingly exhilarating experiences, give these examples a shot. If not, maybe just watch from a distance.

1. Skydiving

Out of all of the following activities, skydiving is definitely the most popular amongst individuals I know personally. In fact, skydiving is consistently increasing in popularity, despite the obvious fears of parachute malfunctions. In 2015 alone, there was over three million skydive jumps across the United States, and that number seems to be growing still. Although accidents happen pretty infrequently, it is usually as a result of human error, not a result of the equipment.

2. Bungee Jumping

Bungee jumping almost seems scarier than skydiving, due to the fact that you fall at a continuous speed all the way until just moments away from hitting the ground. Not to mention the fact that the process happens several times as an individual bounces from the elasticity of the bungee cord.

3. Chase a Tornado

Let's all be honest here for a moment: anybody who's seen the movie Twisterhas to be at least just a little bit curious about what the life of a storm chaser is actually like. Mother Nature can be an incredibly terrifying force, but therein lies a whole lot of beauty within itself, am I right? Maybe I'm just crazy, but chasing a tornado is still a dream of mine.

4. Climb a Mountain

This is most definitely the most physically challenging thing on my bucket list. Hopefully, it'll be some motivation to live a healthier, more active lifestyle. Preparing for the ascent of a mountain undoubtedly takes endless amounts of work, and I am so ready to get started.

5. Run With the Bulls

In case you're unfamiliar, the event titled The Running of the Bullsoriginated in Spain from the process of transporting bulls from their fields to slaughterhouses. Basically, over time, individuals would try showing off by running in front of and amongst the bulls. This ended up becoming a tradition, and now cities all across the world practice bull runs in which individuals literally try to outrun the animals for sport— the most popular run being held in Pamplona, Spain.

6. BASE Jumping/Wingsuit Gliding

This is essentially skydiving, except from the edge of cliffs. Casual, right? BASE is actually an acronym for "building, antenna, span, and Earth," which are the categories from which jumpers can leap from. In addition, oftentimes BASE jumpers utilize wingsuits to glide across the sky for extra air time before deploying a parachute and returning to the ground.

I don't know about you, but I'm going to get started on getting these things accomplished as soon as possible. There's a lot of adventure out there, people.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
