The Cubs winning the World Series this year is such a big deal. They haven't won a World Series in 108 years, so this is an exciting time. Yes, like many others, I jumped on the bandwagon towards the end of the Cubs season. I will admit to that. However, I loved all the excitement and fun things that came along with the Cubs postseason games. Over the past few weeks, I have learned to enjoy baseball and actually like watching it. Here are a few of my favorite things that happened while the Cubs were playing:
I loved how all my friends would get so excited for the game and watch it together.
I loved how everyone at my school would celebrate the wins and sing "Go Cubs Go" as loud as they could outside around campus.
I loved seeing dedicated fans, such as elderly grandparents on Facebook crying tears of joy for their beloved Cubbies.
I loved talking to my own Grandparents and hearing how thrilled they were. They love the Cubs so much and it makes me happy to see them happy.
I love how happy everyone is to see Chicago's very own team succeed. It is so fun to see all the "W" signs everywhere.
I love how the World Series has taught me to enjoy baseball!
Shoutout to the Cubs for winning the World Series this year and for making Chicago proud. Go Cubs Go!
