Whether you played travel softball for a year or your whole life, there's some aspects of the game that only softball players would understand. Between the team bonding, skinned knees, and sunburns, summer ball players have a bond that can't be broken. Here's nine things you know to be true if you played travel softball:

1. The tan-lines.

You guys know what I'm talking about. Those tan-lines would stick around all the way until the next summer season rolled around.

2. Weekends are for softball, not hanging out with friends.

At some point along the way, your friends wouldn't even ask you to hang out on the weekends because the answer was always the same: I have softball.

3. Road trips with your family.

After a few hours in the car, you would rather have an 8:00am Saturday game than sit through another minute of the 80s on 8 radio station.

4. Over-the-night tournaments were always the most fun.

Let's be honest: sometimes the nights spent causing trouble with your teammates were more fun than actually playing softball.

5. Softball moms are the best moms.

Softball moms are a special breed of awesome. Band-Aids? Got it. Water bottles? Got it. Snack bag? Got it. During the summer, you not only have your mom, but about eleven other wonderful women that claim you as their own.

6. There's something special about showering after a long day at the fields.

Softball produces a special kind of dirty; pretty much the combination of dirt, sweat, and sunscreen. You can hardly get your uniform off fast enough before you literally leap into the shower.

7. Summer ball brings out your inner diva.

There's nothing like the competitive drive that championship Sunday brings. With each win, your inner sass-master rears her ugly head.

8. You can never have too much deodorant.

Seriously. After an entire day at the ball park, even taking a bath in deodorant wouldn't be enough to conquer the stench coming from your dugout.

9. Softball friends are forever friends.

The girls you meet through softball are people you'll love forever. Teammates are forever, especially your travel ball teammates.

Even through the worst batting slumps and trying to claw your way out of the losers bracket, you and I both know that we wouldn't want it any other way.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
