Remember when you were little and you were either a perfect little girl or a tomboy? If you danced or played with Barbies you were a girly girl but the second you picked up a softball bat or put on a pair of cleats you were the dreaded tomboy. When you were little you were one or the other, never both. But as we grow older, you can have the best of both worlds and you get to love every minute of it.

1. You spend your Sundays watching Football

You wake up early on your one day off a week to do a final check on your fantasy lineup, you put on your favorite jersey and those jeans that make your butt look great. You settle onto the couch with a beer in hand and turn on Redzone for a day full of screaming at the TV because if your dad taught you anything it’s that they can totally hear you.

2. You’re not really daddy’s little girl, but something better.

You have been under a car on more than one occasion and can change a tire better than most guys. You can fix almost anything and will never pay for someone else to do it if daddy taught you right. And after you’re all done, you will be going right to the nail salon to fix all the nails you broke.

3. Your drink of choice is whatever someone else buys.

You’re not very specific on what you drink, you just like free. You are totally happy to have an ice cold beer, some jungle juice, or a glass of wine. If it comes out of a keg that you just happened to be doing a handstand or you can slap the bag, it’s even better.

4. You’re seen as a little slutty, but you aren’t.

People know you as the girl who is constantly around a ton of guys, so they assume you have to be sleeping with at least one of them. You’ve probably spent a night in their bed at least once, but really they were just a cuddle buddy when you needed a place to sleep. You may spend a lot of time with the boys, but you love your nights with the girls just as much.

5. You’re probably single.

This is one of the only downsides. The guys in your life think you’re awesome, but stick you in the friend-zone or worse, the bro-zone. Or they get so protective over you that no guy could ever get close enough with them in the way.

6. Girls think you’re fake.

We all know this one. The ones that aren’t your girlfriends see you going from “I love sports and beer” to “I love lush and wine” and think it’s all just an act to get guys. You know it’s not true, but sometimes it hurts a little. Until you remember that you get the best of both girl world and guy world.

7. You give and get the best advice.

For your boys, you can give all the best advice on girls and you’re probably the one picking out their outfit before a date and checking out every text to make sure it’s phrased properly. And they are doing the same for you. Plus, they can hold you when the dumb boy makes you cry. But, of course, you also have your girls to help you out when your boys just don’t get it.

8. You wouldn’t change a thing.

You truly have the best of both worlds. You have your girls and your boys and you just know that you couldn’t have it better. So to all of those haters, just know they are wishing they had your life.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
