I am going through a very traumatic experience right now. One minute I will be perfectly fine, but the next, I will be reminded of what happened and be overcome by tears. Although right now it seems as if nothing will fix the way I am feeling and it will never end, I know that through God I can do anything.

If you are feeling this way, or just want to strengthen your connection with the Lord, then here are some Bible verses I keep with me whenever I need help getting through the day.

"Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new." 2 Corinthians 5:17

Everything happens for a reason. I know sometimes it feels like things happen and you don't deserve them, but He has a plan for all of us. He is putting you through pain to teach you something, or to help you grow as person.

Never doubt His purposes because He will never put you through something you cannot handle. Trust me, you will come out of any situation better and stronger than you were before, and it's definitely worth it in the end.

"My presence will go with you, and I will give you rest." Exodus 33:14

Whatever challenges come your way are totally doable. Think about something you did or happened to you a year or two ago, and compare how you felt about it then versus now. It seems like such a small part of your life now, but at the time it may have felt like the end of the world. This feeling will not last forever and one day, you will rest.

It is the Lord who goes before you. He will be with you; he will not fail or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed." Deuteronomy 31:8

Do not fear change. Do not fear growth. Do not fear that maybe something that happened was a mistake and wish you could go back in time and fix it. God throws hurdles your way on purpose, but he would never give you a hurdle too tall to jump over. There will never be a time when you are alone because He is always with you.

Everything happens for the better good, and, although it's hard to remember that sometimes, just keep pushing through whatever you are going through.

"Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your Hearts be troubled and do not be afraid." John 14:27

Be confident in how strong you are. If you face every challenge with confidence that you can push yourself through it, then nothing is impossible. You can do anything with the Lord at your side. He wants you to be at peace, so strive for that in your life.

"And you will feel secure, because there is hope; you will look around and take your rest in security." Job 11:18

Do not focus only on the negative. Take a look around you and see what blessings God has given you. Nothing is so detrimental or challenging that you should ever forget about your family and friends whom you have been given to support you through these trials. Keep your head held high and with a smile on your face.

Although it seems like this feeling you're having will never end and you will never stop going back in time and thinking about what you could have done to change things, sometimes the only answer is strengthening your faith in the Lord and time. Do not ever forget what has been given to you and always remember He is with you to guide you.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
