With school starting on the 29th, for most schools in Las Vegas, there are six things I instantly thought of the school supplies, both physical and mental that they never told me I would need very desperately while in high school.
1. A portable phone charger
You will inevitably use all of your phone's battery in one day or you may just forget to charge your phone the night before school, so going out and buying a portable phone charger will make it easy to charge your phone while sitting at your desk. Also, you won't have to leave your phone unattended in a classroom.

2. Lots of confidence
Everyday I went to school with people who were smarter and prettier than I was, but you know what? It was okay. I learned that it was easier to compare myself to others but it did far more damage. I feel as if with confidence come the understanding that we all have our strengths and our weaknesses and we must realize how great we are, not how different we are from others.

3. Stress relievers
Doing something like taking an art class, going to the gym, or even something as simple and as cheap as going on a walk. These things all may vary from person to person, but as soon as you found your stress-relieving activity, stick to it. It will be the thing that will save your brain from exploding.

4. A good support group
Having a positive group of people that will root for you will make the the school year so much easier and make it to finish the year out with a bang that you had started with.

5. Netflix
Some nights just need Netflix, and trust me, I understand. One of my stress relievers has always been movies. Sometimes it takes just winding down and relaxing with some snacks and a cheesy one-star horror movie to make you calm down at the end of a busy day or week.

6. A positive attitude
Positivity is key to living a great life, which is why I added it to this list. This school supply is one that made me put everything into perspective and realize that living life with a positive attitude will make my days less unenjoyable if I just make the most out of what cards of life have dealt you.
