I'm 20 going on 21, but there are times when I act like a 12 year old. One of those times is when I sit down to watch a TV show. Sometimes I want something more wholesome and fun. And for moments like those, I turn to these shows because they're ones I'll never get tired of.
1. Full House
Who (did it star): Bob Saget (Danny Tanner), John Stamos (Jesse Katsopolis), Dave Couiler (Joey Gladstone), Candace Cameron (DJ Tanner), Jodie Sweetin (Stephanie Tanner), Lori Loughlin (Rebecca Donaldson), and Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen (Michelle Tanner).
What (was it about): A newly widowed father calls on the help of his college friend and his wife's brother to raise his 3 young daughters.
When (did it air): Originally aired from 1987-1995.
Where (you can find it): YouTube, Reruns air on Nick@Nite (Nickelodeon) weekdays at 9 p.m. and if you want to see the newest version Fuller House, then check out Netflix!
Why (you'll love it): From Michelle's one liners to Jesse and Rebecca's dream wedding, this show is family friendly without being boring. There's lots of laughs and a ton of heartwarming lessons.
2. Drake & Josh
Who (did it star): Drake Bell (Drake Parker) and Josh Peck (Josh Nichols).
What (was it about): Two high schoolers become (step)brothers when their parents decide to get married.
When (did it air): Originally aired from 2004-2007.
Where (you can find it): Reruns on TeenNick at 4 a.m./p.m., on Nickelodeon at various times and YouTube.
Why (you'll love it): If you ever caught a glimpse of the "Amanda Show or All That!," then you may recognize those two. They are some of the best comedic geniuses ever, and you'll definitely laugh out loud while watching this. Plus, who doesn't love crazy shenanigans (or Crazy Steve, for that matter!)
3. Austin & Ally
Who (did it star): Ross Lynch (Austin Moon), Laura Marano (Ally Dawson), Raini Rodriguez (Trish DeLaRosa), and Calum Worthy (Dez Wade).
What (was it about): An outgoing blonde and a quiet brunette pair up and become a singer/songwriting duo.
When (did it air): Originally aired from 2011-2016.
Where (you can find it): Reruns on Disney Channel and YouTube.
Why (you'll love it): If you love romance, friendship and great music, then this is the show for you! The actors perform all their own songs and their chemistry is great both on-screen and off.
4. iCarly
Who (did it star): Miranda Cosgrove (Carly Shay), Jennette McCurdy (Sam Puckett), Nathan Kress (Freddie Benson) and Jerry Trainor (Spencer Shay).
What (was it about): Two teen girls start a web show to express their opinions on everything from school to parties. With the help of their technical producer and one of their older brothers, they end up creating something bigger than they imagine.
When (did it air): Originally aired from 2007-2012.
Where (you can find it): Reruns on Nickelodeon and TeenNick at various times, YouTube and on DVD.
Why (you'll love it): Typical teen angst plus cool technology equals one fun show! There's relationships between characters, pranks gone wrong and of course, tons of little remarks (like the one above!) that make it authentic and unique!
5. Girl Meets World

Who (does it star): Rowan Blanchard (Riley Matthews), Sabrina Carpenter (Maya Hart), Peyton Meyer (Lucas Friar), Corey Fogelmanis (Farkle Minkus), Ben Savage (Cory Matthews) and Danielle Fishel (Topanga Lawrence-Matthews).
What (is it about): Following Cory and Topanga's daughter, Riley as she enters middle school and discovers the world for herself.
When (does it air): Originally airing from 2014-present.
Where (you can find it): Disney Channel at 8 p.m. on Fridays, with reruns on Disney and Disney OnDemand. You can also find both seasons on Netflix!
Why (you'll love it): If you ever saw "Boy Meets World" in the 90s, then this reboot has all the heart of that show, with a slightly younger demographic in mind. While it hasn't dealt with alcohol or sex, it has dealt with a lot of tough subjects in its two season run (including bullying, labels/stereotypes, dating, crushes and first loves). The cast themselves is mostly older than the age(s) that they're playing on-screen, which adds a certain level of maturity without being too over the top.
