In the year 2016, we have had a lot of interesting memes floating around the internet. As most of us may know, these memes always warrant a hilarious Halloween costumes. People get all sorts of creative with different ideas. If you're a poor college student like me, it can be hard to find something that's clever and also cheap. So here are five of the most hilarious (and relatively cheap) Halloween costume ideas that people have had this year.

1. Snapchat.

There's no denying that Snapchat is one of everyone's most beloved apps on their phone. What better way to show your love and affection for sending dog-filtered pictures than to actually BE the app itself?

2. Sexy Harambe.

A funny, yet sexy twist on a costume to honor the beloved gorilla who died in the name of our country. Harambe has been sweeping the nation this year being the topic of different phrases such as, "D*CKS OUT FOR HARAMBE!" or "T*TS OUT FOR HARAMBE!" I'm surprised that isn't something that someone made into a costume.


3. Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton.

Our two lovely candidates who are running to be president of this country also make great costume ideas, for both young and old, if you want to show your support for your favorite candidate. If you're going for scary, this is definitely the costume for you. Side note: please vote wisely on November 8th.


4. Starbucks PSL.

Every basic white girl's favorite drink now comes in a life-sized costume. What better way to celebrate the coming of fall than being dressed as your favorite pumpkin spiced beverage! I love this costume a LATTE, HA. Finally also tried my first PSL from Starbucks and I can honestly say that I wasn't disappointed.

5. Netflix and Chill.

The classic phrase that is taking the world by storm has now come to life as a Halloween costume! Maybe you're just hanging out and your friends invite you out last minute and you don't have a costume idea, just dress up as what you were just doing. Perfect!!

And if you don't have a SO like the couple pictured above, don't be afraid to rock the costume still and fly solo!

These are just a few of the many costumes that our clever friends on the internet have come up with this year. To all of you who still haven't found something to be yet, I hope this helps and if you have found something, then here are some ideas for next year if you really like 'em! Have a happy and safe Halloween! I hope you enjoy the costume idea that I decided on for this year. Definitely one of the best ideas I've ever had.
