3 Changes You Should Make To Live A Healthier Lifestyle

Summer is approaching and many of us are quickly trying to lose the unwanted weight put on during the long winter months, just in time for bathing suit season. When thinking about weight loss, many people look for quick results by going on extreme diets, taking weight loss pills, or using other products that claim to cause fast weight lost. Extreme diets may cause weight loss, but it is only temporary because once off the diet, all the weight is gained back. Any product that claims to cause fast weight loss is most likely a scam and unhealthy for your body. The best way to lose weight and maintain a healthy lifestyle is not a complicated task, if you are willing to stop unhealthy habits. Losing more than a few pounds should not be, and is not, a fast process, but will happen over time after making the necessary healthy changes, such as the ones below.

1. Drink more water and eat more fruits and vegetables:

Yes we all love Starbucks Frappuccino's, Dunkin Donuts Coolatta's, and any drink caffeinated really. Unfortunately, all these amazing frozen drinks are loaded with calories. Drinking more water is one of the first changes you should make when trying to live a healthier lifestyle. Skip the frozen drinks, and replace them with water. Another way to reduce calorie intake is by avoiding fast food at all costs, limiting the amount of junk food in your house, and eating more fruit and vegetables. You can exercise faithfully everyday, but you will continue to stay the same weight if after working out, you inhale unhealthy food, taking exercising as a pass to eat whatever you want.

2.Exercise daily:

The reason a lot of people don't ever lose weight is because they don't feel like, or want to, exercise. Exercising is necessary for weight loss. Running, walking, cycling, swimming, are all great ways to exercise because they benefit your whole body. Many are mistaken by thinking in order to exercise, you have to have an expensive gym membership. Although gyms are great, you can exercise in the comfort of your home. You don't need a treadmill to go for a walk or run, you can walk or run on most roads or even go to a safe nearby development to do so. In order to be healthy, you have to make time to exercise at least 3-4 days a week or even daily. Watching tv is addicting and entertaining, but by limiting the amount of time you watch tv or binge watch episodes of The Office or Orange Is the New Black on Netflix, and increase the time you spend exercising instead, you are closer to living a healthier lifestyle.

3.Find motivation:

A motivated person cannot be beat. Finding something or someone that motivates you will drive you to better yourself and to continue to do so everyday. If you are unmotivated, you will find yourself giving up, going back to the unhealthy habits.

You shouldn't just make these changes before summer, but should continue to do these things year round in order to maintain not only a healthy weight, but a happy healthy lifestyle too.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
